Some might complain about assembly, ofc,, but if you're any good at assembling things its easy, just look carefully at pics for correct placement of parts, and they even make that easier with colored stickers to match parts together. Its quite large, Im very tall and my feet comfortably set on the floor, I can see how some say that their feet don't touch the floor. Nice mattress, very comfortable. They include extra parts too. We sat on it, combined weight of 550 lbs and it didnt flinch. Im very happy. I bought it because I wanted a couch in my basement and there was no way a regular couch could get down the stairs. To make the assembly much faster I used a cordless ratchet wrench with an allen socket on it, really made it quick. Would recommend and buy again

Pros: easy to assemble (with youtube video) but a bit time consuming. Very sturdy. The Expresso frame is beautiful and the mattress is firm and comfortable.Cons: Very disappointed that the color of the mattress in AQUA rather than navy blue, as advertised.

First off, I really need to address a couple of reviews here.-tessa, You aren't fooling anyone with your pictures. That was obviously jumped on in the center. For the lower frame of the futon to break AND the substructure... Well, that's not from normal use.-lostinthehills, this is hardly "thin wood". Its a futon, not a brick house. It's more than adequate.As for assembly, two of us had it together in under an hour. The directions were easy to understand and everything was clearly marked. It does take two people to fold it either up or down, but that's to be expected due to the large size of this.Speaking of size, it's much larger than I envisioned. Seems HUGE! The mattress is comfortable and made well, as is all the framework and the hardware. All-in-all an excellent investment for those looking to save a few bucks.

I was a little concerned about putting this together by myself, but it wasn’t bad at all. You SHOULD have two people to assemble, but one can if they’re bored/motivated enough. Just read everything and watch the video before you get started. A ratcheting hex driver will make things go really quickly.So far, it’s a nice piece of furniture and not bad to change from couch to bed. in couch mode, is more comfortable than any futon I’ve ever sat on and probably most couches. Will update after guests sleep a few nights in it, but the quick nap I took after putting it together was quite comfortable!

This is a great futon at a reasonable price! It’s queen size with nice fabric. It makes a comfy sofa with convenient side tables. Fairly easy to fold down and make a bed. I added a plush mattress cover and bed pillows for guests to have a good nights sleep. My husband said it came with detailed instructions and he put it together in less than 2 hrs. It takes a person on each side to push it back up for seating. Very satisfied with this purchase!

This futon is pretty comfortable, although we've only had it a few days. When transitioning from seat to bed (and back) there are two pair of small plastic pieces that hold the futon in place (when sitting) that tend to wear on the frame. We've only raised and lowered this a handful of times but it's already starting to scratch into the wood frame in the front [inside] of the futon. This will have an impact on how many times you can raise and lower the bed before it will no longer be able to stay in the 'seat' position. We will be adding something to the frame to keep it in the 'seat' position long term. Overall it's a good buy if you don't mind modifying it a bit.
