This futon frame went together reasonably well. I was able to do the whole thing myself except for help at the very end to lift the slatted futon support into the frame. The directions were excellent. I was missing one non-critical part and one decorative plug did not fit. I received immediate help and quick replacement of these parts. This did not delay putting things together. The sturdiness and comfort is as good or better than what I would expect at this price point and it is attractive.

Assembly was easy enough, took a couple hours by myself, having someone to help at the end is pretty necessary though. The instructions are easy to follow, the quality of the materials is good, my wife and I found it to be sturdy and the first night of having it, I feel asleep on it with the cat.The only issue I ran into is that many of the larger bolts come with a metal cam dowel attached, and I think in the machining of one, it was incredibly hard to get it off. I had to use a lot of WD 40, players, and the allen wrench with my wife's help to get it unstuck. There are exactly enough parts included, I feel for the price, they could afford to give you a handful of spare parts just in case.It's made in the USA (some of it anyway), and it looks like the inspection standards are higher than most things you buy online. It's one of the pricier options on Amazon, but I feel it's worth it.EDIT: I have had this futon for several years now and it's held up great across a move and having a dog and cat. This will last you.

I ordered it on Sunday, and it was delivered on Thursday by UPS. It arrived in three separate cartons: Frame, armrests, mattress. I wanted a futon for my sunporch, which is long and narrow, so furniture placement is important. I used Amazon Home Services to assemble it, and was able to select the day and time that was convenient for me. The price for this was about $88, and with tax it came to $95.00. Two people arrived within the scheduled time, and had it done in just over an hour. All the parts were included, as well as a little assembly tool. They also flattened the cartons and took them up to our condo dumpster. I was not charged until the assembly was completed and was also asked to do an evaluation. I would certainly use this service again! It sure made it easy and convenient for me! This futon is super comfortable! I had a flatscreen mounted on the opposite wall, so the grandkids will have some entertainment when they visit. It’s comfortable enough to nap on without pulling it out, and The fabric is very sturdy. After spending weeks researching futons, I’m so glad I got this one!

This is a nice sturdy futon. It went together well. The video for assembly on YouTube is very helpful. I would give a five star rating except the finish on the wood in some minor flawed places. The mattress is very comfortable and well made. Well worth the price.
