Used the klien dykes for about 5 yrs now, no issues at all. Just wanted a journeymans upgrade and I must say, these things are nice. Definitely approve.

I'm an commercial electrician and I need something the has long lasting durability. These pliers are the best value for your money. They are by far the best pliers I've used. I've been replacing all my old klien tools with knipex now.

This is a very hard pair of cutters. I cut hardened steel material and various wire types in the service field and these have held up to the abuse. The handles are also very comfortable and are contoured to the hand. Only improvements these could use is more handle tempering to absorb that snap from cutting solid wire, and the axel-rivet joint to be reduced in size/moved higher for a greater leverage advantage.

Electrician, 20 years. Yes, I’m a Klein guy. Who isn’t…? Been thinking about grabbing a set of Knipex for a while now (Strippers, Dykes, Lineman’s). I grabbed all three.Haven’t used the Dykes or the Lineman’s yet. I used the Strippers, already wrote a review. I’m short, the strippers are great. Not really a 3-1 tool. You can’t get the grip strength when splicing wires together. With 14awg, it can handle that. 12 is where it shows it’s not strong enough. But that’s fine. Overall 4.5/5.Dykes…They feel great, look great and are comfortable. If they cut anything like the Strippers did, then these will be great as well. The Dykes & Lineman’s are very similar to the Klein models. Kind of look the same, feel the same, etc… so they will be easy to use right out of the box.Price… $$$They are pricy. The brand itself. But it actually is great quality. Most of the complaints are about Price. I get it. They are expensive. But for me, I love tools. I’ll spend a little extra for something that is worth it.Final…As I said, I have t used the Dykes or Lineman’s yet (just got delivered today). By the end of the week (3/18/23) I’ll edit this with how I feel after the 1st week.So far so good though. Knipex has been making some noise in the electrical field. Split feelings. Klein guys are Klein guys. And that’s fine. They make a great tool. I’m a Klein guy. But I’m leaning towards Knipex lately. The 3 main guys are Red & Blue now.Lineman’sDykesStrippers.Hope this helps anyone on the fence.

I use these a lot and could not be happier. I am lazy and do not do to many reviews but I love everything about these. The alignment is perfect and zero light through the jaws. They have a crisp snap for any type of wire I feed it. The handles are really unusual. They don't feel like regular plastic handles at all. The inside is red and quite slick while the blue parts are almost sticky with amazing grip. The handle is smooth right out of the box. The fit and finish are fantastic. The angled head is just right. It's a really nice tool with the only downside is they take more pressure than the Kline's to do the same cuts but I think the Knipex will be around after the Kines have gone. I won't bore you with it cut this and that. If you want to see all the different things it can snip through go on YouTube.
