This is a great little rattle. It fits in my pack very easily, it’s well made, and sounds good. I used this rattle several times this season and had no issues!

I bought two of these for each one of my packs and I'm going to tell you right now they're lightweight and loud as you can possibly make them in fact they're loud or than real antlers and they sound really good. Plus I'm going to smash your fingers or your hands and you can use them with gloves on or off?. When you're looking for a buck? Rattle and you're looking to simulate an actual fight. These are better than sliced bread. My only complaint is buying the flex tone and the black rack in about four other different rattles before stumbling across these. Couldn't save myself a ton of money. Oh yeah, I hunt whitetails for a living. You can find me on ESPN. Also not a paid endorsement. I buy these and I'm at pocket and send them to my friends as gifts.

Small enough to fit in a pack and locks together nice and compact. Lightweight and tucks into my pack so I don’t have to worry about tines getting hooked on trees/brush going thru the woods.

Just what I was looking for! Very easy to pack in a small bag, and they connect together really snug. They can make a lot of sound for such a small rattle, if you want them to. They also sound good just barely rattling together too

Fast shipping. Wasn't able to bring out a deer with it. Sounds seem a bit different from what i was expecting.

They sound “ok” but definitely not as realistic as real antlers. Nice and compact/easy to put in a pack.

It feels like it worked for me! With these things you can never be completely sure but I am confident I pulled a buck in with this yesterday morning. Unfortunately he wasn't a shooter. These were easy to stow and didn't make any noise while hiking in. My only suggestion would be to make them in blaze orange and maybe a longer cord but they still appear to work. I'll tell the story below. Some quick background info:Newish hunter. 3rd trip out.I have never use a call or rattleOpening day for rifle so lots of people in the woods.Overall people were reporting less deer/no deer compared to past seasons. My FIL who has hunted the area for over a decade said it was just a bad day overall. We also fewer than normal shots.Very warm day. Morning was hovering around 32 F and it went up to 60 a little after noon.So I got to my stand about an hour before sun up. I made it in farily quite and slow. Weak but constant wind blowing from the east. After only seeing a doe and some turkeys directly behind me I decide to head further east and sit at another stand we have. I take it slow and I get there around 11:45. I didn't see or hear a single thing the entire time. Nobody in the area has shot. I sit for another hour and don't see or hear anything. I decide to use these to try and rattle a buck in. I do a nice lound initial hit and then a few rattles from there for about two minutes. I wait 15 and do it again. After I set them down I figure I am just going to have a bad day and take out my book. As soon as I open the book I hear and see a 4 point buck coming from the east so walking with the wind. He is eating and looking around a bit as if looking for the sparing. He slowly walks maybe 30 feet infront of me before the wind blows some of my scent into him and then he walks a bit faster out of the area. I tried to rattle him closer but once he had my scent he knew it was time to leave.Anyway I am officially a believer with these.

What does a hunter look for in any type of call? The number one thing is a combination of realistic sound and effectiveness. This rattling system definitely sounds realistic. Its unique shape and design allows the user to change volume, aggressiveness, and rattle style (i.e. locked antlers and clashing, etc.). As far as effectiveness, that is as much up to the skill and hunting-wisdom of the user. Sometimes knowing when to use a call, or more importantly when not to, is most critical. This rattling system is compact and nests together when not in use. It's a bit bulky for a pocket. The only thing that I would change (and award 5 stars), is if it came with a lanyard to wear around your neck.

I like this product. It can produce very real sounding fights. I've tried rattling bags, fake and real antlers and like this method of rattling best of all of them. I normally kept a set of real antlers at each of my tree stands, but some would go missing on occasion. This product is light and compact so carrying it with you is not a problem and the way it meshes together keeps it quite until you want to use it. Nice product. As an aside, a friend of mine bought the newer one that looks a bit like fancy antlers... I think this plain one has better sound qualities.

I don't have to carry bulky horns any more! I combined this with the Primos Up Roar Deer Call and, for the first time in over 20 years of hunting, called up two bucks over 2 different days, LITERALLY from another man's property. I was amazed. Not sure exactly which one did it, but I will never leave the camp without either.I was a bit skeptical, looking at the picture. How do they work? What does this plastic thing sound like? How big is it? I've used everything from REAL horns, fake horns, rattling bags, etc. This is far easier to use, far easier to carry, and far louder than anything else I've used. It also sounds almost exactly like real horns. The size is about the size of your hand, and the two pieces stick together. Once taken apart, they are bound together by a thick rubbery nylon strap. I like the strap for two reasons. Up in my tripod or tree stand, the loop allows you to hang it off a screw or something for easy access. Once you take it apart and start using it, the strap prevents you from accidentally dropping one to the ground. As far as using it, it couldn't be simpler. Just face the pieces towards each other and twist. The bumps and ridges of the opposing pieces don't match up exactly, but on purpose. This keeps them from wanting to lock together and makes them glide effortlessly against each other. There's a kind of hole that you cup your hands around while grasping it, and you can alter the sound by changing your grip. I just slam the two pieces together, wait a half second, then start twisting with an odd on/off timing. Sounds amazing and there's no way to bang your knuckles or gouge your hand like other methods.I'm buying another one for my dad since he insisted after seeing me use both my buck tags on good deer opening weekend.
