Ordered chrome version of this filter as the "C" in the part number indicates, but was shipped a black one. No a huge deal, but I'd like to have gotten what I ordered. Still love K&N filters though, just pay better attention to the part numbers on incoming order, please.

Like that it has the 17mm nut to aid in removal. Other than that it's a oil filter and seems to work well. Quickly shipped and delivered.

This was my first K&N oil filter I've ever used. they have a good reputation for improving performance. I love the fitting on top of the filter that allows the EZ Screw on/off . After using it this alone guarantees I will only use K&N in the future. Easy to install. Didn't need the chrome plated one as it can't been seen when installed, but it was cheaper than the plain black one.

Excellent quality ,and nothing less was expected from K&N .. I think ALL filters should be made this way. Why others don’t habe a NUT to remove the filter . My previous filter took the better part of 3 days to remove after I destroyed it , and used many tools to remove it . I will always use K&N for oil and air in all my cars and bikes .Highly recommend the brand and the quality .

K&N makes some exceptional products. Mostly known for their air filters, their oil filters are of the same quality. BUT the big reason to use them is the ease with which they install and come off. I have the HD oil filter tool and it is marginal at best. On a bagger it is tricky to get the tool positioned to loosen the filter and not get the tool locked in place where you can't get it off. With the built in hex nut no problems.

I love this filter. After a horrible experience removing my last filter, it is refreshing to know that I have a nut for removing this one with a socket wrench. The oil filter on the VRSCF is hidden under the bike, so chrome is really not necessary. If it came in black, I would prefer that, but the chrome does not bother me. What I really love is that the oil filter on the Muscle is also hard to reach for changing. The next oil change is going to be a breeze.As far as the quality of the filtration, I have been using it for 3000 miles and my oil still looks brand new.
