I use this product on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 4.8 ls model. If you're wondering if it fits the cheaper cold air intake you purchased and want to replace the filter with this better K&N filter well it does so buy it. Cold air intake tube is the same as any other expensive brand so just but this Filter and your set trust me. I got pictures I'll post later. Installion since I already had a intake it only took 5 min to replace the filter on the existing intake. Definitely a good find and purchase.

Replaced a very old K&N filter with this new filter. Perfect fit in the K&N FIPK Gen 2 set-up in a 2003/4 Cobra. Comes with a new clamp as well if that’s not clear.

K&N pre-filter fits in the palm of your hand…is literally .50 cents in material that you would expect to see at a dollar store. For this they charge $64.00…over half the price of the Big Bore MAI Conical Filter! In all the years of buying extensive amount of car parts/upgrades, I have never seen anything even close to being this over-priced!K&N…..good on you for convincing people to pay this much for so very little product.

Got it fast and it is a perfect replacement for the old one. Got a tune up at a national shop and I guess they blew out the filter but forgot to put it back in!!! Checked the oil a couple of weeks later and noticed the filter was missing!! Went back to the shop and they did not know what I was talking about and said they put it back in!! so I had to buy a new one.

I purchased a generic cold air intake for my 2000 Tahoe which came with a choice of red or blue cone filter (Beware!). All generic components are comparable to K&N CAI kits, which I have on two other Chevy trucks, with exception of the filter. I finally got around to ordering the K&N filter for the setup and was glad I did. I pulled off the generic CAI cone filter and it appeared to be dirty and black. The K&N slid around the MAF adapter with no problems and fit perfectly in the heat shield. Upon closer inspection of the generic filter, it became clear that it was not dirty but rather the blue filter had disintegrated and entered the engine. I then pulled the system apart, cleaned the MAF, throttle body, piping, and ran Sea Foam through the intake manifold due to small blue particles covering everything. Do not use generic filters! I have never had this problem with K&N filters, but they do need to be properly conditioned upon cleaning them.

Purchased this Drycharger for the K&N FIPK2 air intake kit The reason for this purchase is mainly to add another layer of protection the open air filter while my 97 ford expedition is gulping the large amounts of air. This comes in handy to me at least during the rainy days. Since the air filter is massive under the hood there really might not be large amounts of water splashing that high into the motor area I never know when I might hit a large puddle or get splashed by an oncoming car going through a big puddle wetting the side of the truck this filter sits at. I understand it gets dirty but as another layer of protection to the filter and doesn't affect the flow of air and can be cleaned or replaced with another color choice I don't see why you wouldn't buy it to help the air filter on your K&N FIPK2 kit.

This filter worked as a direct replacement for the one that comes with the K&N 2002 F150 4.6 FIPK. I had to replace mine because it somehow got a tear in it, and this one is the exact same one that came with the original kit.It is a beast and has a very large surface area for good airflow.I didn't give it 5 stars because the original ripped for some unknown reason. Other than that, these are great filters.
