The housing is good, but the hoses are short and straight no 90 degree so will absolutely not work on my 3.5 ford engine, come on K&N you should do better , especially for the priceLuckily I had a set of hoses from a previous catch can that worked!!I can not recommend

First, I like K&N products. I'm sure this oil separator will work fine. I like the larger 6 oz collection cup. The short hose is too short to reach the position the instructions say to mount to cup. Called K&N customer service. They recognize the issue and are sending me a longer hose. No where does it say the kit is not designed to be able to re-use the engine cover.Even with new longer hose it still doesn't fit properly. Don't waste your money on K & N - Poor design!!!

2014 F-150 with the 5.0. | 74k mileageAs expected from anything K&N, great build quality and overall feels like a solid product. I installed this and did a little cleaning of the throttle body and intake manifold. And from the looks of it, it was definitely needed and will be worth it.Installation was fairly easy and straightforward. The documentation they provide is for a 2015+ F-150 5.0 engine bay. The battery box is angled differently, so routing the lines aren’t exact to the diagram. I had to remove the intake manifold nub/bong or whatever it’s called in order for it click connected. It was too tight with the hose ends and the angle it needed to click in place. You’ll see, and it’s easy to remove, click connect and screw back in place.I plan on installing one on any vehicle I have in the future as well, and will check to see if K&N offers one for it.

Update: 5/10/24 K&N had wonderful customer service and shipped the correct length hose. I forgot to take an after photo but it's fantastic now.I installed this quickly and easily on my 2017 f150 2.7. I immediately ran into the same issue as many with the length of the hose coming from the valve. After spending an hour trying to change configuration I've arrived at the conclusion that k&n just missed the mark. You can see in the photo that the cover slightly kinks the hose. I was going to return but I see that a few other people have gotten replacement hoses from the manufacturer. I am going to attempt to do the same and will update how things go.

Very well made. Does exactly what it is designed to do. The only complaint is the hose length but it’s holding up just fine

I chose this K&N catch can because I liked the all matte black, slightly more OEM-style look with the subtle embossed logo and also because it was a 6oz can. Most other brands have shiny black cans with etched logos that look more aftermarket and are only 3oz capacity, which I didn't want. I saw a few reviews that mentioned the hoses were too short but I was hoping this would not be the case for me or that it would still be usable. Opening the box, the catch can, filter, hoses, and OEM-style connectors seemed to be very good quality and on par with other highly rated options. However, the issue is that the shorter hose that connects to the PCV valve is just too short. With the catch can mounted at the recommended location on the edge of the battery tray, the shorter hose will not reach to the PCV valve. It seems like it's just a few inches short. Nonetheless, it says it should fit on my truck and it does not. This is the reason for the one star and why I returned the K&N. I ended up purchasing and installing the J&L Oil Separator Co 3.0. No fitment issues with the J&L and good quality.

I purchased this air-oil separator as it looks more OEM than others. It was a really easy install and took less than 30 min from pulling truck into garage to pulling the truck back out. It's a 2023 F150 Tremor with a supercharger. Hoses were a tad bit long (hence 4 stars vs 5), but overall pretty good. I will update further after my next oil change at in about 1000 miles.
