I like the etching of the tree inside the bowl. The inside of the case and the pillow to rest the bowl on are yellow (can be ordered other colors, my evaluation version is yellow - would have preferred blue)The bowl can be knocked for a chime or wound up to sing. For this 5" size bowl, the singing pitch is rather high. While fun to employ, it might not be the most relaxing tone for meditation for some people..The cushion is clearly marked as "Made in Nepal", there are no markings on the bowl with regards to origin. This is obviously machine made, not hand-made as the listing purports, you can see the machining lines inside the bowl. Perhaps the fusion or the mallet are hand-made, but I have my doubts there too.Aside from manufacture and origin questionability, it comes with a nice case for travel, for when you want to take this bowl on a hike, the bowl is protected rather well.All in all I see this as an ok priced starter bowl good for teaching someone how to use a singing bowl. A good quality bowl will cost a pretty penny, this one is easy to obtain.

Doesn’t sing. I even went to watch tutorials. Tried different methods. It just doesn’t sing. Pretty bowl though. Don’t buy if you’re really wanting a singing bowl. This one is good for nothing but decorating with.

This bowl fits right in your hand for easy playing. It is small and has a nice ring and sound to it. The sound is bigger than the bowl. This bowl is heavy, well made and smooth on every surface. It has a tarnished look and the inside has the graphic of a tree of life. The outside of the bowl has some nice decorative texture.It comes with a decorative round pillow to display the bowl. The wooden mallet has a leather wrap to help it slide around the bowl when making it sing. Being small it doesn't resonate like a larger bowl, but plenty of volume.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine Program for review.My wife and I have always loved singing bowls. Somehow people find it a lot more enjoyable than when we do the same thing with a wine glass. But then again my wife and I are often running around doing silly things. This however is more of an instrument than a toy. The bowl and mallet are really pretty and nicely made with very good resonance on the bowl. Better than some of our other singing bowls. This case this come with holds everything nice and securely for travel and really does a nice job protecting the bowl and the mallet. If you like the sound this is a great one. If you like to travel with it, this is an even better one. Absolutely worth it in my book.

The detail and craftsmanship are phenomenal on this bowl set. The tone is crisp and clear with a long duration. The acid etching on the inside and outside adds to the elegance. So whether it is for practical use or just a display piece, you will definitely be pleased.
