If you play VR often, this KIWI design USB radiator fan is a game changer. It cools my face, making long sessions way more comfortable, and I’ve noticed less eye irritation from the heat. Easy to install, quiet, and does exactly what it should. A must-have for Valve Index users! No complaint for the sound. It’s quiet, works great, and the build quality is noticeably good. Nothing like it in the market. 10/10

I have no idea on what level it effects the cooling on or how effective it is but it is very quiet to the point you might not even notice it.

J'ai récemment acheté le ventilateur USB de KIWI Design pour mon casque Valve Index, et je suis extrêmement satisfait de cet achat.Emballage :Le produit est bien emballé et arrive en parfait état, avec des instructions claires pour l'installation.Installation :L'installation du ventilateur est simple et rapide. Il se fixe solidement au casque Valve Index sans aucun problème.Performance :Le ventilateur fonctionne très bien pour refroidir le casque pendant les sessions de jeu prolongées. Il aide à maintenir une température confortable, évitant ainsi la surchauffe et l'inconfort. Grâce à ce ventilateur, je peux jouer plus longtemps sans ressentir de chaleur excessive.Bruit :Le ventilateur est silencieux, ce qui est essentiel pour ne pas perturber l'expérience de jeu immersive. Long sessions with the Index can definitely start to warm up your eyeballs, so this is a fairly necessary accessory in my opinion. First thing I will say is that I wish it had been easier to install. The USB cord is understandably short, but I actually had to pull it a lot more than I was comfortable with in order to pop the fan piece in place. I can only imagine it will be equally difficult to remove, but fortunately I have no need or intention of removing it. Second note, the fan is not very loud at all. You will not hear it while playing. You will only feel the air moving if you place your hand right over it, but don't let the low power fool you. It will certainly remove the heat. I do wish there was an LED indicator to show when it's on or off. The power button is only slightly lower when it's on, so sometimes it can be difficult to tell, especially when the index is on your face. Regardless of any of my gripes, this is a must have for Index owners.

I was finding that my face was getting way too hot well wearing my Valve Index sitting in my chair, in full body tracking, in front of the mirror in "The Black Cat". I bought the Kiwi fan as a solution.I'm unsure the calorie burn of just sitting motionless croaking in my most exaggerated rumbling tough guy voice to all passing persons, but boy was my face sweating. It got so bad I'd have to take my headset off just to wipe the small pool of water off the lenses- exposing me to the bleak reality that I am sitting in the dark on a Friday night mumbling to myself looking like low budget dystopian fan art.The Kiwi fan pushes just enough air that fogging is prevented and a small movement of air is felt mainly on the eyes. The air drying my eyes right out perfectly and insuring any trip to the washroom mirror has me looking like I've been scuba diving with pink eye. There is a small notable buzz sound that comes from the dual micro fans well they run. It does get drown out though. I personally stop hearing the buzz once the six guys in ape avatars start scream singing Taylor Swift songs right next to me well a small sounding British youth tries out his latest edge humour on any willing ears.I bought this back in October of 2021 and it still works perfectly. Over all, I would say this is a must for any Valve Index user who can endure extended play time!

So I was a little sceptical about just how efficient this would be, but you really CAN feel the hot air being pulled out and exhausted from your face, it's night and day, honestly I don't think I would be able to last in my Index very long if not for this exhausting some of that hot air out the front, it also seems to stop the lenses from steaming up during intense play sessions.Overall it just works brilliantly, my ONLY gripe with it is the price, sure it works but I feel like for 2 tiny fans in a plastic shroud nearly £40 is just asking too much money, I bet it only costs a few quid to make if that. But it does work, so it's a bit of a toss up.Overall thoughts? If you own an Index and are familiar with how much heat it can generate, I don't think you'll be disappointed, just remember though, it's not pulling cold air IN it's just simply moving the hot air OUT. Don't think this is some sort of air conditioning like i've seen people complain about in other reviews and on the internet.

It's fine as long as you absolutely don't move in VR... yeah that's not going to happen.I've even been asked if I was using a vibr*tor in VRChat because of how much noise these fans output when you're merely moving your head around while it's on, and once you move your head around once this thing won't stop making noise.It does cool your index down fairly well and you can ignore the noise if you're blasing 100% sound in BeatSaber while playing, but anything else it WILL get in the way if you're sensitive with background noise.Otherwise, good product, probably the best fan to actually keep the index cool, it also keeps your face slightly cool sometimes as you'll feel a very faint breeze.

For just $32, this little mod for the Valve Index is amazing. You noticeably stay much cooler on your face (and forehead for me personally), and the lenses barely fog whatsoever, really not at all. It took me no time at all to install this radiator to the front, and I'm not sure why people are having issues. It's a simple plug-and-play procedure. USB goes in, and the radiator slots right in afterwards. At first it may seem like the cable is too short, but once you press in the far side of the radiator, the whole thing follows and snaps right into place with no issues at all. The fans do have a whine to them, but with the headset on you don't really notice it, and it doesn't interfere with the mic either which is a huge bonus. To be honest, there really are no drawbacks to this, and for the price point it is more than worth it. It works exactly as intended, and really makes a difference if you've never had one before but have played VR for a long time in the past. If one reason you stop playing VR often is because of heat and exhaustion in your head region, this will let you go on for much longer. Definitely recommended.

This device is excellent.Even for live streamers, you can hear it but only very slightly, but only if you have sensitive ears. Hearing a fan is to be expected. It is moving parts after all.This bad boy will extend your play time. And help you feel more immersed in your games because you will notice your face can actually breathe. The amount of air that is displaced out and away from your face is refreshing.Some people are saying it does not fit after plugging the USB cable in? I got it on my first try no questions asked..This is worth every penny considering it's one of a kind on how the design works.Other designs cost 4x as much and do input/output. This one efficiently outputs, and doesn't put a dent in your wallet.The button is slick and hides well, unless you know where you are pressing at times I found myself struggling to find the on/off switch while in the headset. But that is not a huge issue.Snap on / off seems to function properly with no issue. It holds to the headset and seems to perform through abusive matters because we all know how scary the real world can be while in VR.I am a satisfied consumer.
