Total waste! I carefully followed instructions, TERRIBLE! Each container had water (from steam) in top. It says 3 to 5 minutes - I did 4 - still not correctly cooked. Forget these things - do them like your grandmother taught you. These take way longer and harder to clean.

I love using these! It’s so easy! Just boil some water. Place mold in water crack egg snd cover for about 6-8 minutes. They slide right out! (I used a cooking spray) so easy to clean to! Just pop them in the dish washer.

Easy to use and clean. 6 min for medium, but you can cook 4+ at once. Must grease first. Not tipsy like the 3-point kind!Easy to use. Way better than the silly tipsy 3-sided versions you can find here. Yes, it takes longer to poach eggs in these than if you dropped them straight in the water, but the fancy chef drop method is for one egg at a time whereas with these you can have 4 (or more) cooling at the same time, and it's a lot less finicky!About 6-7 minutes for medium poached eggs. Oil/spray the insides before you put the egg in or you'll have to dig it out in bits. It's a little awkward to get out of the pot but not hard. I use tongs, tip it against the pot wall a little to let the water drip out, then just dump the egg out onto the plate. Always comes out perfect and in one piece.Easy to clean. Obviously you should wash them before you use them the first time (like with everything you buy). They sometimes have a white colour or film on them, but nothing that matters. These make poached eggs a LOT easier, although the need to spray/coat with grease first to get the egg out after defeats any health reasons for poaching vs frying. My 4-year-old also likes to steal these cups to play with. Great all around!

I made the most perfect poached eggs in my electric steamer. No mess no water to fish them out of

This is one of those things that looks like a great idea but turns out not.I used them about 6 times hoping I could develop a technique that would solve the issues I have with them.Never did. They tip over in the water. Even with cooking spray they stick.A challenge to get them out of the hot water once they are done. The water is hot and I have tograb it deep enough to get a grip on the slippery silicone but then my hot glove gets soaked with scalding water. So I try to use tongs. But they slip out of the tongs.(silicone!) Finally I use a fried food scoop to get them out. That works OK but that's yet another tool I had to get out for this process. Then you have to dump the poached egg out but it has water in it now because during your struggle to getit out of the boiling hot water, it tipped over and got water in it so you have to dump it out on asurface to let the water drain away first then transfer to your plate or else you get soggy English Muffins. But it sticks and you end up massaging the bottom of the hot cups trying to get it to come loose. And that burns your fingers.Several times I ended up with only poached egg shrapnel after resorting to scraping the cup with a spoon.A typical egg poaching pan is much easier to use. A little cooking spray and just flip the metal cups overand the egg pops right out. Yes these take up less cabinet space but it was easier to find a place to storethe pan rather than fool with these. These would be fine if you are on a camping trip where packing the egg poaching pan is cumbersome to take. But then again I would be questioning the need for poached eggs on a camping trip.At home, use an egg poaching pan. These silicone cups are destined for my next yard sale.

I've had these poacher cups for a almost a week now, and every time I use them, I swear they are THE best purchase I've ever made on Amazon! I had no idea these cooking tools even existed (egg poacher cups), so I marvel at how ingenious they are. Seriously easy - I set them in the water, then crack my egg right into them. Plop the cover on the pan, then get my toast and coffee ready to go. I love these as the sides are a little taller than other brands I've seen, which makes it very easy to pluck out of the water when the eggs are ready. I've found the perfect egg takes about four minutes and not once has an egg been stuck, they slide out easily, and are cooked exactly the way I like -- runny yolks and solid whites. I have a small flock of hens so I eat fresh eggs daily (I used to boil them). The poacher cups wash up in two seconds, and it's been a real pleasure to start my day having a quick and healthy breakfast. If I could give more than five stars I absolutely would.

I have always used a poached egg pan - with insets and metal cups. But when we moved and our new house had an induction cooktop, my pan was no longer usable. So I started looking for affordable alternatives. I have had pretty good success by doing the following: I melt butter and put about a teaspoon in each cup and swirl it around to coat the inside. I then crack and drop in the eggs, I then carefully place the cups into boiling water that is only a few inches deep - deep enough to float the cups, but not deep enough to swamp them. I then place a lid on top and set my timer for 4 minutes. When the timer goes off, I push down the lever on the toaster to start the toast. When the toast pops up, I turn the burner off on the stove (leaving the lid on) and butter the toast. Using tongs I lift out one cup and using a fork gently loosen the egg from the cup before pouring it out onto the toast. I repeat for however many eggs are cooking. These are easy to use and clean. But it took 5 - 10 sessions before I had the water level, timing and sequencing tailored to how I like my eggs - whites solid, yolks a little runny. My only complaint, which is kind of a big deal, is that the cups are not weighted in the base evenly. Thus, when the water is boiling, they tip. If the water is at too hard of a boil, the cups easily swamp with water. I wish the sides were a little higher and that they would float correctly as I do not wanted water in my eggs. I probably will not buy this brand again, but may try a different brand when these have met their end.
