Not very safe. The top part does not stay on, leaving wire exposed and the colored light lenses pop off easily. I tried two sets. First one, 2 of the 3 didn't work, second one, 1 of the 3 didn't work, and none would stay together. They're cute, but not safe.

The idea is great. They light up when button is pushed and simulate the crosswalk signal and the stoplight even with beeping, just like the real thing. However they were just thrown together in a bag and two out of three arrived broken. The light part is broken off the stem/pole, but the wires are still intact. I would return them, but my son loved them so much he began playing with them and has asked that i super glue them back together!!
