Dry foam and smells nice. I used to sell kirby vacuum. I know how to use this product. Owned one for 40 years. Tip on shampooing with this product. Vacuum carpets everyday for a week. Then shampoo carpet. Carpet will look great. However if the carpet is badly taken care of don't expect miracles.

There's no doubt Kirby makes the most powerful consumer vacuum, bar none. I also have a Shark, which competes with Dyson. Some reviews say Shark is better, others say Dyson is better. None of them are even in the same class as Kirby. The carpet shampoo attachment is a little gimmicky though. It does not deep clean like a hot water extraction system. This foams the top of the carpet, then the vacuum pulls up the remaining shampoo and dirt when the carpet dries. Admittedly though, it actually works. The little water thrown into the tray is very dirty, and the carpet is cleaner when done. At best though I'd say it's a great way to extend your carpet cleaning. It's no match for a real carpet cleaning. The next step up is a Rug Doctor, but even that's no match for the power of a professional truck-mounted system.

Best cleaner for my carpets or cloth furnitures. Would buy again. I don’t use any other brand aside Kirby. Kirby cleaner changed my life! It dries faster and doesn’t leave a residue. Smells great, too!

This stuff is awesome. I could visibly see how it cleaned my carpets. No, my carpets were not a mess. I used it to clean cushions for a camper that had been sitting for a few years. Wow. Again I could see the difference. I have cats and this cleaned up after them well. Wonder how the pet shampoo does if this stuff is so awesome. Definitely will purchase again.
