They work okay. But they're paper thin.

They are a good size for replanting transplant seedlings. As noted they are a bit flimsy , but work okay.

I bought these in the hope of using them for seedlings and to size up as the seedlings grow. I wanted to like these for the price, I really did, but they are paper thin. They barely stand under their own rim weight when you separate them. The pot crumbles with no pressure being applied so you must be super careful filling them. The ones I did use did not even hold up to the elements here. I guess for the price if you're careful I imagine some can overlook the frailty but I just cannot.

These planting pots very thin and lightweight, but they are durable enough to use multiple times. I don't need expensive pots to grow seedlings of vegetables or starter plants. I bought these and packages of pots that were two others sizes, so that I could keep transplanting them as they grew. They worked great and are still able to be used a few more times before I will need to replace them. I'm am very happy that I bought them.

As many other reviewers have stated, these are very thin and tend to flex as you use them. But none of mine have broken or split, so in that since they are sturdy. I feel like for the price, it’s a good deal. The only thing that concerned me is they have kind of an odd plastic smell and since I’m trying to grow all of my vegetables, organically, maybe I should’ve gone with a different type of potting option for those. Makes me wonder what kind of chemicals could be released into them. But otherwise, I’m happy with my purchase.

I read the reviews, pros and cons. These pots rock! No, I’m not expecting them to last for 20 years. The more expensive pots don’t last twenty years. I was out there this morning transferring little plants out of where they didn’t need to be. These pots are great as a transfer point between seed starting trays and their final destination in my yard or someone else’s.Thank you for making a decent product for a good price.

These are not intended for "forever" pots, but are great for either transplants of small seedlings or for starting seeds directly. They are, indeed, very thin walled, but flexible enough to allow you to squeeze and remove your seedlings when you're ready to plant outside. The thinness is a plus in reducing plastic footprint, as well. I foresee that these will be reusable, if I'm careful. Yes, the 4" is the measurement of the outside dimension, but I found it's a tad large than 3.5" on the interior. BTW, they are larger in diameter than the similar pots at the Dollar store. None were crushed or oddly deformed like you see in other pots that are very similar, but if I had gotten those, I think they would still be usable as this material is pretty strong for how thin it is. As a plus, I got a few more than 100.

These pots are exactly what I needed. I wanted solid sided pots (instead of cow pots / peat) to reduce water evaporation in my dry wood-stove heated house.Yes, people are right that they are thin - they are even finer than I myself expected! This comes first as a surprise when you go to pull the first pot away from the stack, and find that they are fit tightly together from how they were packaged and you need a way to grab them to separate them in a way that doesnt involve pulling from the pot sides (note the likely cause of the images of rumpled pots from other customer reviewers).Evolution has given many of us dexterity and fingers that allow us to pick apart the pots from the rims. I cursed a couple of particularly stuck pots, when it was hard to separate two, but then realize, darn it at this price point I could leave two pots doubled and not worry a thing. The pots never tore or cracked from any strain or grabbing. I am curious to know how the plastic will age - if I will be able to use them again for next year's seed starting / seeding growing. However, they really did the trick for me for my project this year. They are so low material, if I do need to scrap them at the time when I take the plants out, this is pretty low impact (I reduce my use of plastic as much as possible as it is). One thing to think of if I do need to dispose of half of them, I have lower risk of spreading disease and insects from year to year with pot reuse. These pots are so little plastic, I dont recommend taking the effort to sterilize before you next year's use of them. For the person talking about solo cups, sure... I guess.. if you have the time to put holes in the bottoms of so many. I think solo cups crack and tear however. The plastic in these pots is a little softer (less brittle) in nature.
