I got the 40lb black king size. I am a 195lb male and my wife is 120lbs and we both sleep like babies with this. I live in Hawaii where most houses don’t have AC like mine and with this comforter I am so cool and don’t sweat. I use to sweat up a storm to the point I would have to put a towel down and the last comforter we had was a light quilt supposed to be for warm weather but that was clearly not the case or just not the case for me. I also have PTSD and severe anxiety which gives me trouble sleeping through the entire night. I’d occasionally wake up then struggle going back to sleep but the first night we got this was the first night in a while I slept the entire night without waking up and have continued sleeping all night. The bed reviews given could very well be just a personal problem or a bad shipment that could easily have been returned and I believe it would have changed how they thought. I am a side sleeper and even on my side I feel the perfect weight as if I was on my back or stomach. I have washed it 3 times since and it has held together. There was a slight concern I had because one of the corners looked like the seam had split and cotton was showing. After all the washing it held together, the seam was just finished short and pinched a small bit of cotton on the edge. Definitely a great product for anyone with trouble sleeping and anxiety.

I got a 30 lbs king size and I was surprised how much pressure it added. It was more than I liked. Live and learn, other may like this, For me I would say 10-15 might be okay. I was expecting something a little more plush and to not feel the beads as easily. It felt as if there was only one layer of fabric holding the beads in place. The listing also said it was cotton, but the label on the blanker does not mention cotton only synthetic materials. The material feels like medium to low quality bed linens.

It's 82.5" by 99" so about 5.5" shorter than mentioned on one side and another 5" on the other.That being said, it still fits the bed just fine, heavy as h3ll, as promised. But not really what I'd called "being cuddled all night" as i was sold on haha** Found a way to make it more comfortable and every bit as "cuddly" as advertised. The issue was that it lays too rigidly on your body, each square is sown so that they each carry the same weight throughout, but it makes it so that they lay flat like spatulas, not really bending and folding naturally when you toss and turn, essentially HOLDING you down in one spot and saying "don't move!!"BUT I found that adding a comforter sheet BELOW the weighted blanket (you know, those fluffy cotton ones that aren't hot, just puffy) softens the way it LAYS on your body. The fluff from the comforter softens the creases and makes it so it DOES NOW hug your body softly rather than push on it at flat angles. It gives it a "relaxed fit"That fixed it and improved my sleep 110%!!

OK so I just love this blanket so much! I have had a few issues. Many duvet covers do not quite fit this blanket, and mu machine definitely can't handle the weight of it to wash it... so that's a negative point. They advertised duvet covers on the description, but I've been unable to find them for the king size. Otherwise, I love the weight, the fabric is soft, and I've slept many a cozy night under this blanket. I just wish I had a better way to keep it clean.

Update 12/27/20: We have had this blanket for almost a year. I have taken a star away from my original review, as the color has faded terribly. Both side of the bed where the light from our windows shine in- the color has faded from a nice gray to a washed brown. It is still comfortable and lovely, but I am disappointed in the color change.Original review:We bought this because I wanted one and kept insisting....husband was very hesitant. The first night we were worried, as it did seem pretty heavy. I am so glad we tried it, as we LOVE it! We both sleep so much more soundly. My Fitbit tracking must think something's going on, because the past few months that we've had it, I've slept harder and longer. My husband was worried about it making him hot, but the sand actually acts more as a cooling item than a warming one. In the winter, I had to put a light blanket on top of my side to keep me warm.It is very sturdy and hold its shape well. Also, the gray is beautiful.

This is a great blanket. I would buy it again. It swaddles you and is incredibly comfy. I bought the 25lb King-sized shipped for 200 CAD. I wouldn't go heavier or lighter and I probably would not pay more than this ad I see these listed for 300ish. I don't buy into a lot of the aggressive weighted blanket marketing - there's a lot of options these days and this is definitely a last pick - made in China - one reservation I had as I avoid cheap stuff like the plague. However at the end of the day it's one thing - a blanket with weight. Most blankets arguably are made in China. So is this the perfect one for you? If you love breathable cotton sheets (like myself) then you will love this blanket. If you like fleece or high thread count "slippery" feeling sheets - don't buy this. It is very very comfy.So far I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. One thing - this blanket is marketed as "hanging off the bed" - the king sized DOES NOT hang off the side of my regular king bed, which is a good thing because A PROPERLY FITTED WEIGHTED BLANKET DOESN'T HANG OFF THE EDGES. Trust me on this - bigger is not better. You don't want it hanging off your bed, but fitted to the sleeping area.Contrary to some reviews, the blanket IS well-made and the beads DO NOT shift. If you're complaining about beads shifting in this blanket then you're definitely a Karen and I pity you.This is also not magic sleep quality panacea. It is just a blanket, though I will attest being swaddled by this badboy is heavenly.

This blanket. Is. LIFE. Seriously -- I'm not being paid to write this review or anything, I love this thing so much. It's soft and definitely weighted, but not so much that you feel like you're smothering. I have yet to have any problems overheating under it, or being cold (which is saying something in the middle of this heat wave in a house with no air conditioning at all). The blanket came in a nice zippered case, which I told my husband to keep because I anticipated putting the blanket away at some point during the year. That is assuredly not going to happen. Normally I sleep with about 6 blankets in the winter and end up tossing them all off. I can see using just this blanket and a fluffy one for warmth when that time comes around. Some people have said the weight distribution is off -- personally, I didn't notice it. Mine seems pretty even. I sleep under this thing absolutely every night. I'm a big lady and it covers me completely from head to toe, with extra room. It's not microfiber soft, if that's what you're expecting. It's just a nice soft cotton-like material. It's cool, but I think has the potential to be warm. A nice amount of stuffing in each "cell" makes it thick and quite plush.10/10 would buy again.

I have ordered both the king and queen sizes. The blanket is great quality. The fabric is heavy and stitching is even. The weight is evenly distributed. I ordered these as a compromise between my husband, who likes his blankets to have weight, and myself, who can’t stand to sleep hot. We’re both very happy and have been sleeping great since I put it on the bed. I love that it breathes and doesn’t make you sweaty. It’s a fantastic price point for blankets of this size and quality.The absolute best part of this purchase is the customer service I’ve received from the seller. My initial blanket was mislabeled and arrived in the wrong size. The company went above and beyond to get a new blanket out to me and when there was a delay in shipping they also refunded my money. They really provided exceptional customer service and turned what could have been a negative experience into a positive one. I walked away from the transaction feeling like they really cared about my experience with their company.Highly recommend both the product and the seller.

Very professional and with great feel. I've had other weighted blankets, this one you can't hear the weighted beads nor feel them 'bunching' up in the corners of the sewn pockets.The size is perfect for a bed spread on the king size bed.Wish this came in a 30 pound model.17May2020 - Noted 40 pound model was available. Ordered and delivered within the week. Best sleep ever. Quality is like the original - very good. Can feel the glass beads in this 40 lb model, can't feel anything in the other models. 5 stars!Can say enough about good things about this blanket.2 week update: This blanket has FAR exceeded any other weighted blanket I've had. The weight distribution is excellent. There's no shifting of weight. Would love to have more of these.

I did so much research before purchasing this weighted blanket. It is fabulous!1. It fits our king size bed great!2. The 25 lb is perfect for my husband and I. We are 160 and 180 lbs and this weight is excellent3. Really lovely 100% cotton is soft enough on its own, the charcoal grey colour is a great neutral and fine without a duvet cover, but it fits nicely into a duvet cover too.4. We sleep very deeply as it hugs your body, but not so much that you feel like your getting crushed, just the right amount of pressure!Highly recommend and would love to get one for each family member one day!

I’m very pleased with this blanket. I’ve only slept under it for a few nights so I have no idea how it will stand up to washing etc.The beads inside are extremely tiny and they’re cushioned between some sort of soft fabric. You can’t even feel the beads unless you press firmly between your fingers.The fabric is soft and is securely sewn. There is no shifting of the beads at all.I bought the 20 lb blanket and when it arrived I thought “no way, it’s way too heavy. When the blanket is on the bed the weight is distributed all over the bed so it feels really nice and cozy.I sleep with my 10 lb dog and at first I was concerned that the weight would be too heavy for her but it doesn’t appear to be a problem.The fit is exactly like the picture shows. Mine is queen size and there’s a bit of overhang over the edges, unlike many other weighted blankets.I plan on buying a duvet cover for it to keep it clean longer.This is well worth the price and I would recommend it highly. My sleep quality is much better.This blanket is definitely warm. I live in Canada so it is much appreciated.
