Bristles are thick and don't fall out. Cleans easily. I wish I'd found this years ago!

I needed a new pastry brush and wanted one that was not silcone. This brush fits the build. It's nice and wide and covers a lot of surface when I use it. I love the color and the brush feels very sturdy. It's very easy to use and to clean. I just spray some Dawn powerwash on it and it comes clean. I love this brush.

Well the bristle insert started falling out of the handle within a week but, I decided to just live with it. Then, naturally outside of the return window, the insert broke into three pieces while washing it.So. Lovely flour. Terrible quality brush. Save your money.Although it certainly brushed while it was in one piece so I've got to give credit where credit is due.

This pastry brush stunk of wet animal hair (boar smell) when I first washed it before first use. I soaked it for a few hours in straight white vinegar and washed it again and got rid of the majority of that smell. It performed well and when I hand washed it this time with dish soap and water it smelled just a small hint so I soaked it again but this time in soapy water with a little vinegar added to it to keep even a hint of the smell away. The bristles are nice and soft and work very well as a pastry brush.

I like the boar bristle as you can do fine coatings with it. The silicone brushes are sloppy.. I like this brush.

I like that this brush is made with boar hair rather than something synthetic. I was surprised at the width of this brush. My old- fashioned one was only about 1 inch or less. This brush is about 2 1/2 inches wide. It has a sturdy handle and should last for a long time. It will make short work of all my baking needs. Very easy to clean by hand at the sink. I use it to brush melted butter on top of baked goods, for example.it
