I grabbed this set for my nieces birthday. She LOVES kinetic sand. I like that this set she can pick up and go and take it anywhere with her. It truly is travel size. I also like that there's additional small "tools" for her to use to play. I like how simple and easy clean up is.

My 3 year old loves thisThis starter Kinetic sand kit is very cool and a great way to introduce sand to your young one. My son found the kinetic sand very interesting and he loved playing with it. The best part about it was that it kept him still and quite lol. The quality of the kit was great. You get 6oz of sand, a nice case with 2 molds, 1 tool and the instructions. First, I showed him the sand alone, let him play with that for a bit. Then I sampled the water and molds and he loved it. The sand changes to a blue color in cold water and then back to normal in warm water. This is a great item for any kids ages 3 and up.

We love kinetic sand and thought this one would be super fun with the water aspect. Love the molds it comes with. The case is nice too to store everything. Would make a great item to include in an Easter basket or just a summer gift.

We are new to Kinetic Sand. This set came with sand and a few toys to use in the sand. There wasnt a lot of sand to play with. You can really only use one toy at a time because of the amount of sand. There is a paper set of instructions that can with this but I wasn’t following the instructions so I’m not sure if we used this set right. There was a send card that showed the correct way to do something but again, I wasnt sure what the card meant and I wasnt following what to do. This is a fine toy for maybe someone that does know what they are doing but we found this a bit confusing.

My kids have been obsessed with sand play - from being at the ocean, to playing in the backyard it has been sand everywhere. We figured we would continue allowing for more sensory play as it helps with the development and enhances problem solving and creativity. Kids absolutely loved this kit, we at-least got an hour or two with initial play and subsequent instances have been just as playful. Really like this, also makes a good gift set.

This kinetic sand is amazing and such a cool idea! Can be used dry or in water, all in the same case! My daughter was thrilled to open this and play with it. The sand feels so neat, and it's such a cool texture. I love how all a child needs is the sand and this case and they can play in multiple ways. Super easy to clean the water out of the case and store the sand for the next play time!

Smart concept but it’s a one time use. There’s no way to remove all the water from the sand to store it. I took out as much water as I could and the next time we took it out to play, the smell of it was the most awful smell I’ve ever smelt. Worse than rotting meat. So terrible. Unfortunately I bought two and both went right into the garbage.

This color changing sand works with cold water but not so much warm/hot water. Once it gets color changed by cold water though it does get pretty stiff and harder to mold with. I really like the texture of this kinetic sand before getting it wet. I didn't notice a scent

We’re Kinetic Sand stans in this house because it is very satisfying to play with and on the spectrum of fun and mess, it’s relatively lower risk. It doesn’t stain or stick like slime, doesn’t collect every hair and fuzz like putty and doesn’t get hard if you inevitably leave it out like Play-Doh. Now this kit offers fun color-changing capabilities, which was a big hit. Did one of my kids spill water on their way from the sink to the table? YES. But maybe your kid will listen, have some semblance of patience and let you get the water for them, but spilt water is a small price to pay for some screen-free fun. I especially love that everything has a place and purpose. The little scooper is also a strainer to collect the sand after you put it away. The container is its case (just make sure you dry everything out effectively). The only thing to note is the color changing kinetic sand shouldn’t be mixed with the traditional kinetic sand. There’s an insert that is clear about this too but important to remember!
