Every good fire needs 3 types of fuel.
- Tinder: Catches those first sparks to get the first flames started.
- Kindling: Builds those initial flames, heat and coals.
- Fuel Logs (Firewood): Once ignited, holds the flame and produces heat up to several hours.
Kindling is a necessary bridge to transfer fire and heat from tinder to larger firewood. With it’s nicely designed Hearth Box, Wildwood Kindling will look great sitting next to the fireplace in anyone’s home. Alternatively, the 11.5x9.5x7.5” box is the perfect size to throw in your car and take with you on your next adventure into the great outdoors.
Wildwood Kindling is free of dirt, bark and debris, making for no-mess storage. It is 100% free of any chemicals or additives, so you can feel good about burning this kindling in your home or yard.
Support local business by buying Wildwood Kindling. Our kindling is 100% sourced, manufactured and packaged in the United States. Other leading kindling brands can’t say the same.
*Since thicknesses of kindling can vary, this box can contain roughly between 55-150 11" long pieces.

it was very dry. I felt safe using it in my woodstove. I have ordered other brands from amazon and they were not dry enough to be safe to use in a woodstove, wet and damp.

I have used this product to help start fires in my home fireplace. It works very well; however, there is a lot of cracking and popping-- something you usually see with undried wood. Not sure why that is happening. At least, this kindling is very clean and burns easily.

Looks like it will burn good. But for 30 bucks you will not be starting too many fires.

These are perfect for building porch lanterns! I found some sticks years ago at Lowe’s and have been looking for more ever since. Since cedar is naturally weather and bug proof they will last for years!

My husband and I often had difficulty getting the wood to reach a good and steady flame in our insert in the fireplace. We used newspapers and smaller pieces of wood and branches to get it started. We actually stopped using the fireplace for a couple of years because of the hassle. Now with the kiln dried cedar kindling, I no longer have that problem getting a good healthy blaze. We made fires most of the time this past winter and enjoyed looking at the roaring flames.

This is definitely super dry kindling and starts immediately with little to no effort. My only issue with it is it pops like crazy. Not just little pops but huge pops that send embers flying. I have never used kiln-dried wood so this might be a bye product of that process. I use 2 sticks of this to get the fire going. I wait till its burned up and the fire is going before I call the kids over because they don't like the loud pops and embers.

I've used the Wildwood Kindling a couple of times now to start fires in a small BioLite Firepit, but this is a good option for those of use that don't have a lot of sources of easy kindling at hand. Plus, the rectangular blocks are dry and start right away. They also have a nice cedar odor as they burn. I think these would work well to get a fire started in any firepit or fireplace.
