Decent jacket for the money. My issue with it is the large areas that are not protected other than the neoprene type material.

I went ahead and ordered the Medium size for my 7yo that is rather tall, but skinny for his age being 4'5 and 52lbs. Though the description says it's for motocross and such, I really got it as a safety suit for learning to bicycle, rollerblade, and their occasional imagination play because the suit looks cool. We've purchased sets before in the same price range that we ended up losing pieces to, so this was a nice replacement that I feel is better value due to it being a jacket instead of a bunch of smaller strap on pieces. Because this looks cool, he doesn't hesitate to put on the safety gear and is rather eager to gear up. In terms of functionality, it took a great beating as they're learning to skateboard now, and I'm glad the beating is just on the jacket and not on my kid. It's holding up well so far and will likely last him until he outgrows it.
