This is such a cute camera introducing smaller children to photography and scrapbooking. My 4-year-old loves it! The setup was simple, operation of it is straightforward enough for a child to use. My daughter loved being able to print her pictures, it does have an option to turn the printing off to save paper. Once the picture comes out the child has to be careful not to pull on the paper but to tear it or have someone help until they get the hang of it, or the paper will be wasted. There is the option of "gray" or "dot" printing, dot printing gives more detail. The photos I provided show the difference, the top is dot printing the bottom is gray printing. My daughter enjoys scrapbooking her photos. I'm not a fan of thermal print because the photos do fade over the years no matter how well you preserve them. The pictures she takes and prints I would like for her to be able to show her children in years to come. The camera does come with an SD card so quality pictures can be printed. The camera has a lot of extra benefits such as USB chargeable, and simple games the kids will enjoy.I definitely recommend this camera.

I got this camera for my daughter who loves to steal my phone and inevitably when I get it back there a jillion pictures on it that I have to navigate and unfortunately very few are worth keeping or are even of anything in particular. Ha! How many pictures do I need of her little toe? Or of her cat? Not wanting to stifle her curiosity and creativity this camera was the answer. Not only can she be the shutterbug she wants to be but she is able to quickly and easily print out her masterpieces. The camera took a little help from me to get her going but isn’t overly complicated and now she can operate without any assistance. The pictures don’t print out as beautiful as even an old polaroid (if you’re old enough to remember these) but she is happy with her picture abilities so I’m happy. The camera does include a micro SD card to store seemingly thousands of pictures. It needs to be charged but does charge pretty quickly and then the internal battery goes for a very long time in between charges. The paper is a thermal paper, similar to receipt paper so if picture is exposed to extended sunlight or bright light for that matter, the picture will begin to fade. Overall, I would recommend this adorable little cat camera to anyone with a little one in there life that likes to take photos.

I gave this to my 4 year old as one of her bday gifts, and she LOVES using it! It prints out photos pretty quickly and seems pretty cheap to replace the paper. My only issue is after using it, I learned that receipt like paper and thermal printing contains high levels of toxins that cause cancer! Needless to say, we no use the printing function bc of that, but my daughter still enjoys using the camera and all of the other features!

I got this for my 6 year old daughter to learn how to take photos before I buy her a fancier one with color printing. We used it yesterday for the first time and so far are pretty happy. The photos are easy to take and print out clearly, though they are smaller with a bigger border than shown in the stock photos here. Out of the box it's set to automatically print each picture, that can be disabled so you choose which ones to print - helps save paper for a kid who is just learning to take photos. The user interface takes a bit to remember, like gently tapping the power button takes you make to the menu, the button that looks like a menu acts as an "ok" button, and the print button seems to do nothing? The "ok" button is what let us print the photos out. But we'll play with it more and I will update this if I learn anything else else. I like that it comes with a 32 gb card and the reader so we can backup her photos. The selfie mode is cute as well. There is no flash but even in a lower light situation the photos weren't bad. I don't think it would capture well at night but we'll experiment. Overall my daughter loves it, especially because it's pink and looks like a cat, but also she loves getting the little photos printed.

Updated 12/28: After my initial review, the seller reached out and attempted to rectify the situation. Although I appreciated the fact that they were trying to make it right, it shouldn't have taken two defective devices and a poor Amazon review later for an actual camera that works to arrive. (Better quality control checks are needed IMHO). My daughter has enjoyed using the camera that was sent out. The printed pictures are not the best quality but the novelty of it and the fact that my daughter can color/marker the printed images keeps her entertained.Original Review: I ordered this camera for my daughter - she's at the age where she wants to be creative and take photos for her own projects but she is not yet to be trusted with a full on camera. I thought this might be a good introduction camera for her that would provide her with some fun. I received the camera and charged it up (plugged it in and saw the charging symbol show up on the screen). However, after unplugging it after letting it charge up, the device didn't turn on at all. I requested a replacement and the second device didn't even power up. I was so disappointed - my daughter loves cats and she was so excited to use this. Unfortunately, both devices are now being returned.
