Manufactured from lightweight aluminum, and weighing 8.85 lbs., the Kidde home fire extinguisher is easy to handle and provides a discharge time of 13-15 seconds, a discharge range of 12-18 feet, and an operating pressure of 195 PSI. The cylinderis filled with 5.5 lbs.. of monoammonium phosphate fire-fighting agent. The painted steel handle, aluminum cylinder, metal valve, and impact-resistant handle make the Kidde home fire extinguisher tough, reliable, and dependable in the event of a fire. The easy-to-pull safety pin, easy-to-read pressure indicator, and instruction label provide clear steps to operate the fire extinguisher - including a bilingual nameplate. Simply follow the PASS guide: pull the pin, aim at the base of the fire, squeeze the lever and handle, and sweep from side to side. Hose and UL-approved wall mount included. USCG approved with strap bracket (NOT included). Single-use only. Dispose & replace if used, discharged, or if fire extinguisher is over 12 years old. Residential use only. delivery exactly as expected. Hoping to never have to use. Being older and having oxygen 24/7 its a requirement to have this and my co2/fire detectors Peace of mind? What's that worth. I'm sleeping better and Kidde has great reputation.

This was an almost identical replacement to the one that we had for five years in our garage.Before giving the old one it's send off I tried it out to see if it still worked and yes it did, but the flow was not as great as expected but would still be useful during a kitchen fire. I think I will be replacing them a lot sooner than what the gauge indicates.

It's heavy but very versitile. All of our home extinguishers are 3-A:40-B:C. Lots of dry chemical when using the PASS method and shorter bursts. We train on them every 2-3 years.

The product came with a red tag, which is similar to those from HD returns. It looks new, and shows that it is charged and good. However, the mount is laughable for being part of a safety device. Be prepared to buy a mount, if you actually need to mount it. It seems that if it gets a good bump it may break or drop the container.

Nice size, charge is in the middle of the green A okay, good value, used for the garage exit door. Previously, I confused this review with two other 2.5 lb Kidde's in error on a different purchase.
