These laces are outstanding. The outer casing on my snowmobile boots began to fail. I ordered these because they reminded me of the wax coated laces I had on my hockey skates when I was young. These seem to be pretty durable and they don't absorb moisture then freeze like the laces that came with the boots. So far I'm pretty happy. I was also psyched to see that they come in Long lengths.

Bought a pair of redwing loggers. I swapped the laces out with these being that’s I’m a welder. After a year they still hold up.

I have so much trouble wearing out shoelaces on my work boots. My first pair of these lasted 6-9 months of everyday hard use. That’s not too bad. Much better than leather or fabric laces.

These are great, and I'll never buy another type of lace for my boots. They're a bit greasy for a couple weeks, but after that they are awesome. They're tough, stay tied well, and small enough to slip through any clip but large enough not to slip out.

I wear a lot of tactical footwear for work and got tired of changing out my laces every 3 weeks due to constantly having to lace up my boots that have metal grommet for string holes. I saw a video of a skateboarder who was tried of replacing shoe string and decided to buy Kevlar shoe strings and had great success with it. These are very durable and require some break-in period but, it's been several months since I bought them and they preform like a champ. They still look brand new, and I'm very happy.

Updated on 9/4/24These laces are fantastic. I wear my boots daily. That’s a lot of tying/untying. There are no signs of wear or thinning at the point where you cross the laces and tie them off. They are no longer stiff like when they were brand new, but still have a bit of rigidity. I highly recommend them, they will outlast my boots. I just might even remove and reuse them if I had to toss my boots. No way would I throw these out if they’re still durable.Original: The laces are a little thinner than I expected, but so far so good. They are stiff but will loosen up over time. I did not notice and sticky substance or residue left on my hands like others have reported. I haven’t been using the long enough to gauge durability but will make an update after some time has passed. Durability is the reason I bought them, the laces that came with my riding boots were close to breaking at the point when you first start to toe them by crossing the laces and pulling them tight at the top of the tongue. They were only a couple of pulls away from breaking, so I’m glad I avoided that setback.

I work in automotive and have safety boots on my feet all day five days a week. I've had these laces on my boots for two months now. Thinner than the originals, but they're strong and durable.

These laces held up nicely for about 13 months. Today, one of them broke. The other is holding on for dear life. I can’t complain, though. Standard laces usually only last a couple months in my line of work. These aren’t indestructible by any means, but they’re far superior to any others I’ve ever used. Would recommend.
