Good value and quality. This is actually the second of these I’ve purchased (for different lense sizes)

I hoped this lens hood would be a reliable and cost-effective replacement for my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM lens, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The biggest issue is that it doesn’t stay securely attached to the lens. No matter how carefully I try to snap it on, it feels loose and wobbly. A slight bump or movement, and it pops right off, making it completely unreliable for practical use.The build quality is another major letdown. The plastic feels cheap and lightweight, lacking the durability of the original Canon hood. I expected something at least sturdy enough to provide some protection for my lens, but this hood feels like it could break with minimal pressure. It doesn’t inspire confidence, especially for anyone who frequently shoots outdoors or in dynamic environments where a secure lens hood is essential.Another frustrating aspect is that it doesn’t lock in place properly when reversed for storage. One of the key benefits of a lens hood is the ability to store it conveniently without taking up extra space, but this one just sits loosely when reversed, making it a hassle rather than a convenience. I constantly found myself adjusting it or worrying that it would fall off in my bag.Overall, this product is not worth the money. A lens hood should stay securely attached, provide some level of protection, and be easy to store.

You can either put this around the lens as a protector or you can put it as a hood. It fits well on the Canon EF f/1.8 50 mm STM lens. It seems to be good quality and works well

I really like K&F as they tend to produce good quality items in general and this lens hood is no different. It's easy to install and reverse as needed and serves its purpose well without having to pay more for the name brand hood.

Si adatta perfettamente all'obiettivo, anche in posizione di riposo, con un attimo più di attenzione. Materiale buono, consigliato

Well made lens hood for this specific lens. I have others that screw into the lens cover and hate it. This is a simple use that snaps on and off quickly. Highly recommend.

Product arrived quickly and comes nicely packaged. The lens hood prevents stray light from getting into your lens and actually increases contrast in most cases, especially using outdoors. The lens hood has a small button on the side which you use to mount it to your lens. Press the button and put it on your lens and twist it until it snaps into place. At first you may have issues as to the position from where to mount it. You want to line up the plastic button that you press to put it on at the top of your lens if looking down on your camera. From there just twist it to the left and you will hear a 'click' when its securely in place.Taking it off is the same procedure, but backwards. Press the plastic button on the side then twist the hood to the right and pull off.Mounting the lens hood in the 'reverse' direction, so that it is more compact and doesn't take up as much room is a little different. I've found after using that the best way is to position the hood so that the plastic 'button' is on the left side of the lens when looking down around a 1/4 of the way from the top so that the button is on the left side then screw it in a bit to the left. No need to press the button. Just tighten it up.I see where this could be an advantage when using a very compact bag. But to be honest, leaving it on the lens in its regular position doesn't really take up that much more space, at least in my smaller bag but it could come in handy perhaps.Overall, its a nifty piece for the nifty-fifty lens. I would definitely recommend a lens hood on this lens, or pretty much all lenses. The price is excellent and will increase the contrast and quality of your images as well as protect your lens.
