Bought this because I cant stand the silver keys and the other reason I picked this one over the others is that this one lined up with ALL the symbols on my keyboard.To be honest I haven't been happy with the product but it worked for the main reason I bought it so I haven't replaced it yet.Number one, the little dots for the caps lock light, power light, and stuff like that do NOT line up, at all.Number two, the black is painted then the white. The reason this is a problem is that behind the white letters is black paint which means the backlight for the letters on the keyboard does nothing with this thing on there. This made me sad because one of the reasons I bought that laptop was the backlit keyboard.Now for the good stuff. The fit is really good and snug, and it does a good job of preventing a crummy yucky keyboard if you need that. And it doesn't just fall off like some can.Arrived on time. I was originally unhappy with the packa guy ing because it arrived folded in half, but over a few weeks you cant even tell.

I am seeing a lot of reviews saying this doesn't fit their keyboard. There are a lot of different models of these available for the different HP layouts. Take a good long look at the picture and make sure it fits yours before ordering this one. This is for HP laptops that have the fingerprint scanner underneath the right side of the keyboard. In the bad reviews those laptops did not have this layout. There are others available that will fit if this one does not.After getting the correct size it is a snug fit and can help to better see the letters on those HP laptops with the silver keys and grey letters. I don't know about the "protect your keyboard" claims. I suppose it will keep our crumbs if you eat while using your laptop. But I don't think it would protect from a liquid spill. This is mostly for having easier to read keys, or changing the perceived color of your keyboard. If that is your goal, and you order the correct model, this will do the job for you. 4 stars for not making this completely obvious in the listing, though they did try, and for listing it as waterproof. While the silicone probably is waterproof that does not apply to the laptop underneath. I think a drink spill on the keyboard would certainly still be the end of your laptop. Be careful!

My keyboard is silver making it difficult to see the characters. Keyboard cover with the characters in black lettering...perfect!!!
