I wanted a spare set of keys for my car and was unwilling to pay the nearly $200 dollars to have jeep make them. So I bought this set and took them to my local hardware store (batteries plus bulbs) and they readily cut these blanks for me at no charge. Then I just programmed them myself (you can use JScan on your phone, which is what I did, or if you have 2 keys in your owner's manual theirs directions on how to program a key just be inserting and turning your car on in a particular sequence). As far as the value is concerned, this product took $200 and turned it into $10, I couldn't be happier in that regard! The key for the most part is hard to tell from a genuine key (the main difference being that their is no Jeep logo on the back) and functionally they work the same as the real ones. The only downside to these is that the buttons are a bit mushier than the real thing (but not by much) but they will start your car and get you places.

The key itself programmed to the truck and worked fine without issue.I can only give these 3 stars however because of a major flaw with the plastic shell. It does not snap closed as securely as the original key... its so bad, that simply turning the ignition is sometimes enough to cause the case to seperate and drop the battery onto the floor. This is extremely annoying, and will leave you having to put electrical tape or some other unsightly modification to simply get the key to stay together. A real shame, because otherwise these keys would have been a 5/5. I ended up putting the circuit board from one of these keys into the originals shell, and that seemed to work well enough.

I purchased a used '08 Dodge Ram 3500 w/6.7 Cummins last summer. It only came with one key fob and the key itself was getting kind of long in the tooth. Checked around to see what getting at least one spare key fob was going to run me. (Hint: Not Cheap!) So, I decided to look here and sure enough, I found these key fobs and decided to take a chance and ordered them. They showed up quickly and I took them to my favorite locksmith, who cut them and programmed them for me, much cheaper than what the dealer would charge. So now, I have three working key fobs. These are really quality made and even come with a battery. Can't ask for much more than that!

These worked just fine. I took what was left of my last key down to the locksmith and they cut these 2 new RKE keys to match. Brought them home and used the Chrysler Pin Puller app on get the PIN, then used WiTech 1.0 with a micropod2 adapter to program. All programmed and ready to go in 20 minutes. Easy-Peasy. You could also probably use AlfaOBD or FCADiag to program these too, but since I have a micropod2 and WiTech I just chose to do it with the older factory tools. I would definitely buy these again.

The buttons on one of my ODM fobs stopped working even after I replaced the battery. Luckily, it would still crank my Jeep so I could drive it. The lock buttons just stopped working from a short of some sort and age (2008 wrangler). These replacements were easy to program with my one fully working fob and the other worked as the second required fob as the Jeep still recognized it for operation only the lock buttons were malfunctioning. I had it cut by ACE hardware and then programmed myself following instructions and a YouTube video. Now I have 3 fully functioning keys and I kept my half messed up original just in case. This saved me hundreds of dollars.

We purchased these keys in hopes of replacing our original key FOB. We had the keys cut at a Dodge Dealership. They tried 3 times to get the FOB to work and said the system in the vehicle did work. I can use the keys to manually unlock the vehicle and start the vehicle, but cannot remotely control the door locks.

2008 Dodge Ram 1500They look the same as the original key I have without the Dodge logo. Quality seems good, but time will tell if they last. Local hardware was able to cut the keys for $3.00 a pop. If I had 2 already, I'd be able to program them myself, but I only have one. I have an OBD reader that can program Mopar keys, but it wants a PIN code, which I didn't get when i bought the truck used. The dealer was able to look up the PIN and program them up for $75 which is still cheaper than the $240 I was quoted by the local locksmith. Maybe I could have asked them for the PIN without paying them to program the keys.If I have a complaint it's that they seem to not have the same range as the original key remote. I'll try installing fresh batteries and do a proper test of range.
