Overall this is a decent entry level USB DAC/Preamp. I like the fact that it has two combo xlr/tlr connectors. It has 1/4 l and r outputs. In addition to the headphone jack it also has a 3 mm monitor output. The analog channels are noisy. In addition to the analog noise there is no support for ASIO drivers specifically for this device. The ASIO4all driver only allows up to 48 khz samples for this device. Not sure whats going on considering the DAC is rated to 192khz. No manual ,drivers, or control software. Looking to focus-rite or universal audio volt2 for cleaner analog sound.

You never know what to expect when you see an Audio Interface that looks like another product you've seen, and especially when the brand name isn't one you've heard of.However, this little unit is built like a brick house (only it's metal) and the connections are solid. The quality of the output is definitely as good as or better than expected and it'll do a lot for beginners to intermediate folks--or advanced folks who need something simple.

I snagged this interface as mine is aging and I wanted something newer and shinier. My requirements were pretty low and I had some flexibility so I figured why not. To be transparent, this is a great card to start out with. It's not near as expensive as many of its counterparts. You don't need an external power supply. I ran into no latency or noise problems. The sound is fairly clean and it comes with almost every cable you could need.I'm currently using the latest version of Reaper 7 on Windows 10. The machine is a recycled HP workstation with an i7 6th gen(?), 64 Gbs Ram, 2 Tb spinning drive and stock everything else. To monitor I have a pair of Beyerdynamics DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm.I test every audio device the same. Doesn't matter if it's a sound bar, car stereo, headphones or anything else. I started with the Noisia remix of Nothing Matters using just the standard windows driver. It wasn't as clean as I hoped for. But, there was no distortion at high volume with almost the entire spectrum represented. I played Final Symphony by Hybrid next. Again, it wasn't outstanding. That's not to say it wasn't good. It was playable. I just wouldn't let an audiophile hear it.As a wannabe producer, I gave it a run in Reaper next. I had a hard time getting it to work with ASIO4All driver. It just wouldn't see it for some reason. It did come up after a restart and reconnect. I also had to manually go point it at the card and start the driver. I did try something I'd been working on that pretty bass heavy with just enough in the higher hertz range to make you listen. Again, it did okay. I can't fault the interface on that one as it is a work in serious progress. Beyond that, I had no other issues.I don't play any instruments so I could not test the XLRs beyond attaching a mic I use when I DJ. It took some convincing to get my daughter to sing. I'm glad she did though as that is where it showed just how capable the device is. This unit is undoubtedly designed for live recordings with a guitar, keyboard or live vocals on the XLR. If you are planning to or need to do those things and nothing more. This is the interface for you.

I was skeptical because of the price. Build quality seems good. After connecting it took me a few minutes to figure it out because the sheet that come with it is very vague. It worked well. I dont have anything to compare it to. I got it for $28 on black friday.

Being a Professional Sound & Studio Engineer. Audio-Visual Production Specialist, Stage & Lighting Technician as well as Musician it's important to be able to take analog Microphone Signals from an XLR Mic and have it converted into Digital Audio! This product converts analog Audio into 24 Bit 192 KHz which is EXCELLENT quality audio! The audio output from this device can easily be used for Studio Quality Digital Recordings and Projects! In my attached photos I did a simple test of using an XLR Boundary Mic and channeling it through this interface to my laptop! The Sound quality was excellent with no Distortion. There were NO External or Internal Noise issues from turning the dials or pushing any of the buttons, or anything else of notice that would've steared me away from using this device for critical Audio Recording purposes! Overall this is a solid product and when I say that I also mean EXCELLENT CONSTRUCTION! It's built in a solid metal chassis which is very nice! Also they thoughtfully packaged the unit with 2 - XLR Cables as well as a Standard USB and USB-C Connection Cables! So far there are a TON of positives! The only small issue I had was when I tried connecting the provided USB-C cable to my laptop I noticed that the Laptop did not pick up this device as an external unit! In addition, the Gain dial on the XLR Input didn't seem to do anything for the recording! I did notice that the USB-C Connection on this device says 5DC Power Source so maybe it was just for Power Only? However, when I used the Standard USB Connection on the device EVERYTHING WORKED OUT PERFECTLY!! Also I would normally only use the USB Connection side only so the small issue with the USB-C side would not affect me!Due to my profession, I've used a lot of Digital Audio Converters in this lifetime and I'll be very hard pressed to find an Audio Interface as great as this one! Therefore, even with the slight USB-C issue that I encountered this product is still 5 Stars in my book because I would never deal with the USB-C side in the studio anyway! Also that USB-C Side could just be a Power Only Slot which explains why nothing happened when plugged it into my laptop!Again, this unit is excellent and has all the features even a professional like myself would need! For your average user this unit will last you a lifetime of great audio!!
