Was exaclty what I needed. Very satisfied with the thickness, waterproofed, and the dimensions.

The rest of tarp is proper, but that is poor workman ship, and not very good quality control.

This tarp is super high quality--sturdy, thick, and durable. Perfect for blocking summer heat and noise. I got it to hang over my average-sized sliding glass door, and the 10x10 version more than covers it with plenty of room on both sides and underneath. When hung to block out all sun, this tarp drops my apartment's main living area temperature by 2-5 degrees. The temp drops fast too, assuming you start early in the day before the sun gets too hot.Combine this tarp with a blackout curtain and/or Vornado hurricane fans (especially their model 723, which moves a ton of air), and you could bring your temperature down by 6-10 degrees in total. That's a huge relief, and could be the difference between a 90 degree apartment and a 100 degree apartment! However, if you need to bring your temp down by more than that, you're probably going to need an AC unit (portable or otherwise).Note: In case you're not sure, the tarp's silver (reflective) side faces the sun, while the black (absorbent) side faces away from the sun.UPDATE (July 10, 2024): I had only tested this tarp against temperatures in the mid- to high 80s/low 90s at the time of my review. I just finished testing it during the record-setting WA heat wave (mid- to high 90s). This was over my sliding glass balcony door using just the tarp and five misc. floor and tower fans (including a Vornado 723), but no blackout curtain or AC. This was the same set up and strategy I used against the lower temperatures during my original review.Even against the higher temps, this did the trick of keeping my apartment to a reasonably mild heat every day until around noon. After that, things got hotter (but still doable) even after my balcony fell into shadow. Evenings cooled off enough to pull the tarp down around 6 pm to let more air in (the sun had moved around to roast the other side of my building by this point). I then put the tarp up again around sunrise.Combined with the fans, the tarp made a huge positive impact on cooling my main living area. When temperatures get in the high 80s and above, every few degrees you can shave off helps, and this tarp definitely does that. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

It stays waterproof for winter rains, but after the third year of summer sunlight & heat it is no longer waterproof. It is good enough for the price considering the cost of replacing the actual hot tub cover. I would estimate it extends the life of the hot tub cover by six years.Cover is 8X8 feet, so the extra length of the tarp keeps sunlight and blowing rain from effecting the wooden skirt around the hot tub.

Used these to close in our gazebo for the fall/winter seasons so that we could put our hot tub in there. We've had a few storms with 40-50 mph winds and not one tear in the tarps. They're definitely heavy duty. We used gorilla tape to attach to the top side of the gazebo and screwed down to our decking using the grommets . Does a fantastic job at blocking the frigid winds. I must say that I'm impressed so far.

After hurricane Milton, we had to cover our lanai roof. These were so much better than the cheap crap you find at the big box stores. Withstood some additional rain showers and kept us dry!

Good, heavy duty tarp. Beware of the grommets.

I received my tarp and have to say I’m impressed. ,I used it to cover my boat and it feels very durable of course only time will tell. But if I can get a few years out of it I will be happyThe most important thing about putting a tarp up to cover a boat is to cover ( before) any sharp points that the tarp will come in contact. It’s the preparation that is the key to success. This is my second one. Delivered in perfect condition I won’t open it yet cause I bought one before. Same one.

I purchased this tarp 10 months ago to cover a leaking travel trailer roof. This thing is very well-made and tough. It's very heavy which makes it a little more difficult when trying to open it up and spread to cover something, but that's because it's good quality. Here's where I can state my experience of the quality because it was put to the test. It made it through Hurricane Helene in SC, withstanding 100 mph gusts with only one grommet torn off! Still no tears on the whole thing other than the one missing grommet! I had another brand of tarp covering something else that got torn to shreds and now just ordered a Keten tarp to replace it. I'm just someone who was in search of a good tarp who had purchased this and decided it deserved my time to give it a great review. The price is decent on it as well.
