We got this to put at the bottom of the stairs. Works great. Wasn't too bad to install but did require 2 people to be able to line up and insert screws. You can prop it all the way open, but if you slightly close it, the tension will close it all of the way.

I needed a couple gates to protect my infant granddaughter, from my stairs, while she was visiting during the holidays. I was able to install the gates without drilling any holes in my walls and they worked great to keep her off the stairs. I now have protection, that can easily installed and removed, for all future visits.

This gate is sturdy, easy to install and functional. The door swings in and out for ease of walk through. The latch works well, locks in place. I would purchase this brand again.

If you have littles that you are trying to keep out of places get this. Or if you have animals get his.. The door swings both ways, it is loud if it gets slammed but other than that, set up was super easy and the gate length is adjustable. We got two on for the top of our stairs and on for the bottom and they work perfect to keep our dogs from going up stairs during the day and keep the baby from falling down the stairs or going up them.

We bought this gate to keep our dog from going upstairs. We had purchased 5 different types of gates and this is the only one that stays on the wall, keeps the dog from going upstairs and is sturdy. This is a must purchase. Don’t waste your money on other gates this is a keeper. Sturdy, perfect closure, door clasp is perfect, looks great, great value for money.
