If you need to transport a pony keg, corny keg, or 6 barrel this thing is on point. Second day boating and keg is ice cold with a second bag of ice. Suggestion to pre-cool the bag with your keg in it before a long haul. Great product and worth the investment.

We recently purchased these for an out of town festival this weekend and they worked great! If you don’t get the ice sleeve (we have not tried ours yet) you can fit about 20 lbs of ice around your corny keg. We put ice in on a Friday afternoon, left the kegs in the car overnight, and there was still ice present well into Saturday late afternoon. We poured the ice/water out that evening for ease of travel and the kegs were still cold/serving temp Sunday late afternoon. We lucked out with mild weather (55-75 degrees) but I am impressed with how well these worked. They do leak a little when the ice melts, but we lined the coolers with trash bags to help prevent any major puddles in the car. If you get trash bags taller than the keg this will also help funnel ice into the cooler, we are definitely trying that next time! The handle straps are a little long for me to carry with but they were very handy for lifting. Ours got fairly dirty from dripping picnic taps and dirt but it all rinsed off with ease. I also like how they collapse and don’t take up a crazy amount of space when not in use. I now have one of these for every keg!

We have been tailgating for 6 years or so and struggling to keep beer cold in the Florida/SouthEast heat. We have tried a variety of ice containers to keep our 1/2 and 1/6 barrel kegs cold during events. Nothing we tried seemed to work, required a ton of ice and still didn't get the results that I wanted. We always ended up with warm beer. However, this cooler bag from CoolBrewing was beyond amazing!! It kept a 1/6 barrel keg ice cold, I do mean ice cold, for over 24 hours with 20lbs of ice (it was literally a 90 degree day in Florida)!! This literally solved all my problems and made the event a huge success! The bag is well made and looks great! Additionally, by adding minimal ice I was able to store this keg in my kitchen for another 24 hours! With a full 1/6 barrel and 20lbs of ice it can be a bit heavy to carry, but the handles seemed to hold up well. This is truly an awesome product!!!!! CoolBrewing thanks for keeping my beer keg cold and all my friends thank you! Cheers!!!!

We bought this keg cooler for a camping trip to share my husband's home-brewed beer. It seems to be the only thing like it on the market. When you pack a heavy trailer and tons of gear like us, the last thing you want is to fuss with a gigantic plastic cooler filled with ice, in which your pony keg is actually only halfway submerged anyway--you know those ones that are like 2' deep. We did not purchase the companion product, the freezer-pack ice sleeve for about $27 because we wanted extra cooling power and the sleeve looks rather thin...more akin to what is sold along with many lunchboxes, where the ice "cubes" are only like 1/2" thick when frozen and only last a few hours tops. Such a thing would be more than adequate for a few hours under the shade, but we wanted ours to last overnight. When the keg is inside this cooler, there is maybe a 4" gap of space in which you can pour ice all the way around. We lined the cooler with two large trash bags, inserted the keg, and then poured ice all the way around. You can get away with one bag and fill it pretty good, but maybe 1.5bags would do it all the way to the top. The strap seems heavy-duty enough for maybe an empty keg, but a full keg is probably too much weight for the seams, so we just carried it ourselves instead. I don't think it's designed to be slung over the shoulder all the way full, nor would I attempt it. However, this does not detract at all from what is an excellent product! I especially like the zipper at the top which allows you to route the hose and tap through it without letting all the cold air out.My only suggestion for improvement could perhaps be that using a reflective "space blanket" like material would perhaps provide some additional insulation? Since the insulation that is there is not especially thick, this type of material (instead of white plastic) could maybe add a few extra hours of cooling power to it.The exterior material is a nice, heavy-duty rip-stop nylon, like a durable backpack material. It held up well to camping and being scooted along the ground/leaned up against tree bark. We were really happy to find this product, especially living in a "beer town" (Bend, OR) which what seems like dozens of breweries and everybody wants to take their beer up to the lakes, campgrounds, and desert for recreation. Great product!! Would recommend.

I was very excited to receive and use this keg cooler at our outdoor wedding reception. In general it worked in that it kept the keg cold for a long time (still ton's of ice in it the next morning), and made it possible to serve a home brew keg easily with the addition of a picnic tap. It's possible I received a defective unit, but I experienced 3 issues that made me send it back.1) In the Q&A section for this product on Amazon, other buyers and the seller indicated that the product was waterproof, but the one I received was most definitely not. Mine began to leak out of the bottom within an hour. It wasn't a significant leak but over a gallon of water leaked out in about 12 hours. I ended up just putting the whole thing inside of a plastic bin to catch the water as a work-around.2) One of the zippers pulled off track literally the first time I used it, and I couldn't get it back on. Fortunately there are two zippers on the same track, so I was still able to use one to seal the top properly, but there's no reason the zipper should have failed this quickly.3) The carrying strap "slips" while carrying a keg inside of the cooler. It's an adjustable strap that you can lengthen or shorten to your needs, but after about 10 steps I could feel the strap get longer and longer until it was at it's maximum length. I ended up just having to bear hug the keg/cooler to carry it instead of using the strap.
