After putting a brass nut in my Ynwie Malmsteen strat copy I figured it would be interesting to see if it made any difference in my Chinese knock off Martin D45. But it plays so nice I've been reluctant to remove the original to replace with this brass nut. So, for now I wait and keep an eye out for a local used "project" guitar that could use some nut and bridge love. The measurements on this nut and bridge are accurate, per my digital caliper. And I'm eager to try them and see if they make the tone more crisp.

Solved my grounding issues. I had an old ovation guitar that I redid the wiring, and then added a new piezo pickup under the saddle. It had a grounding issue and was looking for a way to ground it to the strings. Then I saw this and knew that brass has about 25% conductive properties. I had to sand the saddle down to match the existing plastic saddle, and then It came with a clear coat on it so I needed to sand the off too so it would be completely conductive. It set right on top of the saddle piezo pickup and now all the strings are grounded and solved this issue. I also thought it would be much brighter sounding, but it sound really good.
