Fantastic tuners for the price! Love the quality and love that they are made by jinho, who makes amazing tuners for all kinds of oem manufacturers. These are lovely tuners and are similar to what you’d find in higher end instruments like schecter. Grab a pair!

I've tried quite a few inexpensive locking tuners. A few were ok, many were junk. These are actually pretty nice. The finish is very good, and they're pretty smooth. The best I've tried at this price point.

I installed these on a Tele Parts Caster Build that I completed yesterday and they seem to be well constructed and work very smoothly. They look and feel very nice. At this point I would definitely buy them again... No complaints whatsoever!

These tuners are great! The finish is perfect for the color theme I was going for and the 2-tone config looks high quality. The tuners themselves are nice and tight with enough gear ratio to not have you spinning for days but fine enough to still be able to tune! The holes lined right up for my Micheal Kelly and fitment is perfect once it is all tightened down.Would absolutely purchases these again if I had the chance!

After always buying the Musiclily locking tuners, I decided to try these. The pole inside the shaft that clamps the string is more substantial and locks even the high E string. The only con I'm noticing is that the pegs don't feel as precise as more expensive tuners but that's to be expected at this price. The guitar was easy to string with these and it stays in tune and that's the most import aspect to me. Would definitely buy again.

These will fit the headstock of an Eart SSS without any drilling required. The tuners look good with a nice finish, bushings-washers-screws are good quality. They grip the strings tightly ( I play 9-42; no slippage). Lock pins appear to be smooth enough that they won't cut strings, which is good. The posts have zero play in them so with a good nut (I use Tusq) and properly streched strings the tuning stability will be excellent. I would give them 5 stars for the locking mechanism alone but the tuning part is where they lose a point. Even after oiling them they're still far from being Grover-smooth, also I can twist the button almost half a turn on some of them before they start doing anything to the pitch of the string but once they get rolling there's no slop and like I said, the tuning stability is great so you won't have to interact with the tuning pegs very much.As an upgrade on a cheap guitar with cheap non-locking tuners these are definitely worth the price but if money is not an issue I would advise you to pick something from a more reputable brand. I'm not unhappy with them but they could be made better.

Let me start by saying that I put locking tuners on all of my guitars and I have tried most all brands and price points; Wilkinson, Hipshot, Grover, PRS, Gotoh, etc. These are priced similarly to the Wilkinson EZ lock tuners and they are a little nicer - but they are still sub-$40 locking tuners.PROS - I put them on an older ESP LTD EC-50 and they dropped right in - no modification needed at all. tuners went in securely and mounting screw holes lined up exactly to the drilled holes from the stock tuners - this is VERY unusual. Normally I have to at least fill one or more of the old holes and redrill new holes so the tuners are in alignment and not janky. I was very pleased about this. They are a flat black color with a satin type sheen and cosmetically they look great. They feel tight and turn with some resistance which is normal for any quality tuner. They were nicely packaged and came with all necessary parts. Something else to note - the screws were quality made. Its not uncommon that the mounting screws are cheap and easily stripped if not careful. These had a tight deep grip to the screwdriver and went right into the headstock.CONS - The locking thumbwheel is plastic - the locking thumbwheel is plastic - the locking thumbwheel is plastic. If you are wondering why these are so inexpensive, there's your answer. Huge turn-off for me. Not sure how it makes any sense to put a plastic part on something expected to lock a string in place and hold tune under extreme tension with a high probability that it is going to get hit, bumped, or worse based on its placement. I dont have any experience with regard to whether or not this makes a difference yet as I just put them on yesterday but I almost boxed them up and sent them back because of this alone.Final thoughts - This is a limited review as I just received them and put them on a project guitar that wont have strings on it for a week or two. I will follow up with more details and possibly a change in rating once I can see how they actually perform.*One other thing to note - I have learned with cheaper locking tuners that have a sleeve type nut that screws into the tuner itself and secures the tuner to the headstock - it is important to pre-screw this mounting nut all the way into the tuner before you try to install it. The threads on these tend to have burs and paint in them that needs to be worked out before mounting (these were no exception - 2 of them took multiple passes to get the sleeve to screw all the way down). If you don't pre-fit the mounting screws, you will likely turn to your favorite socket or wrench to crank these down forcibly and either round off the nut, strip it entirely, and/or scratch up or damage the finish on it. Don't be a savage - a clean install is always the way to go.**UPDATE** - The tuners have been on the guitar for a month now. Admittedly, I am still bugged by the plastic thumbwheel - but - they work REALLY well. The guitar stays in tune, the tuners dont feel loose or like they are slipping. Final thoughts - still a 4 rating for the plastic parts but they are good and a great value for the money. If you're on a budget or upgrading a budget guitar and trying not to put too much money into it, these are a GREAT option and I would highly recommend.

Just installed on my new Harley Benton12 string from Thomann in Germany,[well made and setup, flawless finish, chimed humbucker pickups, no fret problems, easy to play and a very excellent guitar]. Makes for restringing and retuning an electric 12 string way less troublesome. Looks pretty good as well! Holes lined up 99 1/2 % perfectly, just take care putting the screws in, I suggest not using a power drill but a hand tool so you can 'feel' the contact of the screw driver and when tight enough. First time from this vendor and I will update as to any future ongoings with these tuners. For now they perform as intended, nice and firm thumb button tension for turning, one or two may require minor end screw adjustments, a little too tight or loose.

So these are made in Korea, which is far better than the tuners made in China. I took the locking stem out of one of these and compared it to 4 different types of guyker China made tuners, the Kaynes from Korea appeared to have a stainless steel stem and it’s larger diameter with nice deep threads. These are the best alternative for Fender tuners. It’s about half the price. I like them a lot.

I decided to try out these Kaynes locking tuners solely based on other reviews. I'm definitely glad I did ! Very nice surprise to see that these are made in Korea and not Chinese. I myself have tried pretty much every set of locking tuners that Amazon has to offer with very limited success. I've installed and sent back several sets of Guykers. They have been very hit and miss. 1 or 2 sets have been great, while about 5 other sets have been awful and had crunchy, hard spots. Bogart were decent but not amazing. Musiclily and Wilkinson were also average. But I installed these Kaynes on a Chapman ML2 (Les Paul clone) and on a Harley Benton CST 24 (PRS clone). And after tuning the guitars to pitch I could tell right away they were well worth the money. As smooth as the Hipshots I have on another Chapman and seem very well made. Pretty tough to beat Korean stuff when it comes to guitars and guitar accessories. Honestly, no need to spend the $130 on Hipshots or $200 on Sperzels. These will definitely do the trick for half the price. Good job Kaynes !! My new favorite.
