Installed these as headlights on Power Wheels style toy. Did not fit under factory lenses, but that is fine. Has a wide beam and surprisingly bright for this package. Only complaints would be no grommet for installation and the wires are probably 20 or 22 ga.. pretty small. The lights could be installed with silicone for serious installations, I assume. Does have some color artifacts around edges which is to be expected for cheaper lights. See photos. For the price they are perfect for my little project. Tree in photo is 10 yards away.

(Scroll through my photos) almost 5 years ago, I purchased these style LEDS to complete a Power Wheels project for my daughter. Came out pretty amazing. So I decided to grab some again for a project in my Lexus. These are definitely bigger and brighter. Work great for adding extra interior lighting for custom work, and looks classy tucked away, or extra trunk lighting. and if you’re good at this type of stuff like myself, under hood lighting as well. The only issue I have is the wiring just being way to thin. If you’re good with a soldering iron, these pop out of the threaded shaft very easy. Solder on some 18-20 awg instead of the 26-30 that’s on there. Then put some silicone in the shaft to re waterproof them.

KAWELL Universal 6 Pack High Power White 9W - The ones I just got throw a nice bright white flood type beam with a slight amber outer ring. At 12.9V the one I tested drew 106 ma and got very warm to the touch. The threaded mount is metal so these might have a longer life if mounted in a metal (heat sink) surface.I purchased these for an emergency lighting system and am more than happy. I'm sure they would work fine on a car, just be careful with the aim point, these are bright enough to bother oncoming drivers (a lot) if aimed at eye level.

I prefer the color temp of these over two other brands I tried. I bought 12 of these, 1 stopped working as if it had a loose connection where it was potted in the rear. Besides that I am very pleased. They cast a nice little flood beam about a 45 degree angle. Very bright but will not throw a beam a long distance as most LEDs do not. If you use these in a group of 3 or more for a fog light it would get the job done to illuminate the area right in front of the vehicle for the first 20 ft ish. They would be great for ATV or riding mowers. I put a group of three in a plastic hitch cover on the back of my pickup truck and tied them to my backup lights. What a major improvement to see behind me in the dark backing up. Before and after photo coming soon. I think I will put 6 in the plastic on the lower grille of my pickup truck to supplement my fog lights.

They are fairly nice for the price nice and bright out of the 6 I received 1 was a whier light then the others but didnt bother me.As for those that are saying they suck and did not work I can see why that is but its an easy fix. The wires going into the stud has a very small amount of glue or cocking but it is not enought and is not fully sealed. So when you go to install them and you slightly move the wire or if you spin the light causeing the wire to twist the solder inside comes off and thus making the light not work.So with that said an easy fix I found was when you get them before messing around or testing them take some gel type super clue and put a little into the stud and then around the wire to help hold it. Let it sit over night to harden and that will fix it. My lights work great one that little issue is fixed. When stripping the wires as they are small its easy to cut the wire when stripping it, what I did instead is determine the legtht of wire I need to make the connection then I took a lighter and held it to the insulation burning it to the lentgh that I needed and blow the flame out leaving a crunchy burn rubber section then with my fingers I just flaked it off, stinks like butt but is far easier then trying to strip such a small wire. Hope this helps Ill be buying more

I only recently got these and haven't yet permanently installed them somewhere. I've played with them for a minute though and OMG, these things are bright! They would NOT make good lights on the front of a vehicle though, so don't get any ideas about that! The reason I say that is because, by design, with that big concave lens on them, they're basically mini flood lights. Think of bulbs in recessed ceiling light fixtures. You know the difference between floods and spot lights, right? Spots have a typical beam angle of 15 degrees and floods are more like 45 degrees+. Well, that's the type of light these put out. Headlights and fogs HAVE TO BE NARROW ANGLE so that you can aim them and they don't blind other drivers or completely light up the fog that's in front of you. The light output from these is to broad and (if installed as-is) would do both of those things.THESE WOULD BE DANGEROUS TO YOU AND OTHERS IF INSTALLED ON THE FRONT OF ANY VEHICLE!!That said, however, I love them. I think they're awesome. I plan on using them to make some custom lights above a couple workbenches in my shop. And one single one of these could be incorporated into the back of something, with it's light directed at a wall, to create ambient lighting in a room. They'd make really awesome landscape lights too! (they have sealed housings!) A person could get all kinds of creative with these. (Just don't put them on your damn car...) :)**** EDIT ****I'm changing my rating to 3 stars for the following reasons:So I just left this review less than a week ago and I thought I'd finally play with the lights a little tonight and ponder some ideas. I was holding two of them and (I'm not even sure quite how this happened) one of the lenses fell off of one of the lights. In my surprise, as I jumped a little out of reflex and tried to catch it, I actually dropped the second one, and that lens also decided to take leave of it's duties. (ie. it popped out) I had 4 of the lights right there with me, and within 5 minutes only one of them still had it's lens in place. (Shortly after, I pried the others out with nothing but my fingernail. I'll scuff the plastic and Superglue them back in, if I decide to use them that way.)Also, I noticed a little red spot on the back of one and realized it was the wire. I was able to very easily peel the caulking out with nothing but my fingers. So, don't trust them to be remotely water resistant either. Now, all of this isn't necessarily a bad thing, if you're anything like me. These are still some really bright lights, and I still think they're pretty cool. I'm just going to hack-mod them in some manner and incorporate them into something else. I'm not sure what yet, but...... :)So, my final opinion as of now is this: I like them. Not so much for what they are when they show up at the front door, but because they consist of good parts and therein still present a lot of potential for substantial coolness. And with that in mind, I'm probably actually still going to buy some of the 6w and 9w versions as well. But at least now I know exactly what I'm getting and what to expect (as far as preexisting quality). And hopefully now you do too. :)
