I replaced a spring that broke on my lazy boy recliner. The seat cushion has to be removed. Worked great . Roughest part of the job was removing the seat cushion.

Expensive for what should be for me a one-time use, however, well made and made the removal and installation of seat springs for my Laz-Z-Boy easy, so worth the cost.

I think it is too expensive for what it is, a bar with a handle, and another bar set on a pivot. Think of the shape of the letter Y. What it does is clamps on the springs for a couch, the other end has a rubber stop that rests against the edge of the couch, and you pull back gently and leverage the spring to lengthen it to hook into the clips. It becomes a one person job. If you are doing more than one or two of the zig-zag springs, this is worth not getting hurt. It costs what it does, as it is not a common tool that you may find at a big box store. I hope I can find another use for it, as my wife has decided we are NOT going to fix another couch again. Maybe I can get into dentistry pulling teeth or home orthodonture.
