This tears really easy. Maybe spent to much time in the box and crumpled. Used duct tape for emergency fix. Works well when not torn.

They should have spent a couple more dollars on the carabiners. So flimsy that they immediately came loose. Not a bad price though, so I recommend buying other carabiners to use with it.

So many times I kayak out in one direction on the ICW and coming back an hour later the wind is at my back. This is great to extend my trip since I can save paddling on the way back. I'm not sure how long it will last, seems a little fragile but has worked great so far. Love the clear fabric in the middle so you can see straight thru the sail!

This is a great idea for a paddle board! It's winter in Iowa so I won't be able to test it out for several months yet, but there are my initial thoughts: The sail is made of a durable nylon material, which seems strong enough to withstand the wind that would be encountered on a paddle board. The middle is made of a clear (albeit very wrinkled) thick plastic, most likely so that one's vision is not blocked by the sail. (Due to the winkled condition of the plastic, however, I don't think you would be able to see much through it.) There are several straps for attaching it to a board, although instructions for how this is done are not included... When laid flat, the diameter of the sail is about 44.5" (not including the outward bulge).The sail comes with a handy carrying pouch, for which it must be folded just so (hence the wrinkled nature of the sail material). The included folding instructions were an act of great forethought, however, and make this process pretty darn simple!So, without having had an opportunity to try it, I have no reason not to give this paddle board sail five stars (well, except for the lack of installation instructions I guess). How well it will actually work to catch the wind and propel a board will be subject to later experimentation!

I was waiting for an opportunity to take this out on a local lake where the wind conditions were sufficient and yesterday was the day. Unfortunately, I don't have a working action camera, or I would have record some of it.First off, attaching to my 12.5' kayak was simple but a little difficult to do with gusts of wind. Make sure that the sail is stowed/battened down before trying to attach. I had to chase the sail once.Once I found my footing and was facing the right direction, the sail basically took over the powering of my kayak. I was able to make slight adjustments to the direction but maybe if I had a keel, it would have responded better. It was easy to see through the clear cutout once moving.Some advice: Make sure you have clear and open water the first few times you use this. It takes a bit to get used to and you might want to steer clear of another watercraft. In my area, there are lots of powered fishing boats that sometimes throw a decent wake. I haven't tested this where there were waves or wake so it could be a different experience. Open water was good.Good quality product.
