Simple sturdy tool that makes it incredibly fast to put grommets on tarps. Great value for the price. Would highly recommend.

This is a heavy duty grommet tool with a large number of grommet inserts in a handy hard-sider carrying case.The tool itself is quite strongly made and it punches as well as crimps the grommets. The two pieces of the grommet stay put on the tool while you move it over the fabric, so it's really easy to get the position where you want it.The end result is a strong attachment point for tie-downs or carabiners.The instructions mention that the tool may fail to punch properly through very heavy fabrics, so they include a useful punch and a mallet to make a hole where the tool is unable to do so. I haven't found it necessary to use the punch so far.The included instructions are clear and simple and there is no learning curve with this tool. It's easy to get good results immediately.

A nice complete kit for 10mm grommets only. It comes with a pair of joke sized gloves that may fit your 6 year old along with a toy town plastic mallet. The punch is solid enough and to be fair the mallet does the job of punching most regular sheet materials. The pliers work well, but you definitely need bigger hands to use them than would ever fit in the tiny gloves that come with it (why the manufacturer thought they would be worth including is beyond me), but need some strength to operate as they are not ratchet type. It all fits quite nicely in the supplied case and for less than £25 it isn't a bad set if you need 500 10mm grommets in some sheeting.
