I cook a lot and it’s frustrating when you have to use both hands to get a paper towel. I’m so happy this one really works. I can tear off a paper towel using one hand. I also installed it on the wall so it doesn’t take up counter space. Thanks for a great product!!

I actually really like the unit. It was very easy to install, it opens up a fair amount of counter space. Much better than the old two-arm paper towel holders. This allows the fracture to hold the paper towel so it doesn’t roll out a whole bunch of them at once. Love it.

The Kamenstein paper towel holder is AMAZING!! We needed a replacement for the one we had in our garage. My husband looked on Amazon at many different ones and decided on the Kamenstein. That was the best decision. It is far superior to any other ones that we have had in the past. One of the things that is really wonderful about it is that if you accidentally unroll too many paper towels, you can rewind the on the roll perfectly. It is very sturdy and easy to install. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PAPER TOWEL HOLDER!!

The ratchet mechanism and sprung retainer stops it from unspooling accidentally but is still well balanced to avoid difficulty in turning the roll.Unlike other flimsy or loose clamp dispensers it’s actually pleasant to use and the roll will not fall out when you try to use it.It looks sufficiently well made and designed to leave visible in a utility area.The end cap looks good but doesn’t obstruct standard Australian size paper towel rolls from being inserted (you can also unscrew that part if needed).We didn’t try to attach it with double sided adhesive but did use screw fittings as I expect it would eventually fall off due to the ratchet tension if using adhesive attachment.Would definitely recommend it.

Nice, well made product. So far it is working well. Relatively easy to install on a wall. I wanted to install under my kitchen cabinet but because the cabinet has a 1/2 lip around it (the bottom of the cabinet is 1/2 higher than the cabinet edge) I could not install it there because the mega towel rolls we use would not slide on to the unit because of that lip. A smaller sized roll would probably fit.So I installed it on the wall behind and below my cabinet. And the reason this review is 4 instead of 5 stars is because that does not work well either. Again, this would only be an issue with the mega rolls of paper towels. The towels DO fit between the roller and the small mounting plate (where you screw the unit into the wall) - but JUST barely. HOWEVER, that mounting plate is slightly off center as compared to the roller. This means that on a full mega roll the thickest part of the roll is just below the mounting plate. Why do you care? Well, that means the thickest part of the roll will be TOUCHING THE WALL until the first 10- 20 sheets are removed. This makes it a LITTLE harder to pull the sheets down - but you can do it. My issue is that over time, this rubbing during the initial part of using a full roll will wear the paint off the wall in the small (1 -2 inch strip) where the towel roll touches the wall.Adding another 1/2 inch, or better, an inch to the distance between the roller and mounting plate would solve both of my issues (rubbing the wall and not working under my cabinet). The mega rolls these days are larger than they were 4 years ago. When some user reported (in 2013 and 2014) that the mega rolls worked well, they were not using rolls as large as exist today. I would hope the manufacturer would recognize these issues and adjust the product dimensions accordingly.

Review written after about 6 weeks of use. Will update if I experience any problems....We just remodeled our kitchen and our old white, plastic, undercabinet paper towel holder wasn’t going to cut it. We didn’t want to suck up precious counter space, so I looked into wall mounted holders – specifically for a vertical orientation since we had a good spot next to the window. I ordered the Kamenstien based on the pictures and reviews.I was not disappointed. Oh, if I were picky, I could talk about how the machining and brushed stainless finish on the elegantly curved base wasn’t very consistent, but where we have it mounted, you really won’t be able to see it closely without leaning over the counter. Not sure if the base is stainless – probably aluminum based on the weight, though it does have a darker color more typical of Stainless.Oh, if I were picky, I could also say that the screw-on knob is spun from a very thin piece of stainless, but that would really be silly – I’m not hammering the rolls of paper towel on, so I can’t imagine it would ever get a dent or ding.My only true nit to pick is that the end knob was loose when I received this, so I unscrewed it all the way and re-installed it with a drop of LocTite.The paper towel holder has springy vanes which hold the roll securely – then the vanes require a small amount of force to rotate around the base – it clicks every 1/5th or 1/6th turn, preventing any runaway towels. I prefer to rotate it out a couple of clicks, tear off my paper towel, then click back so the loose end is hidden.Installation was very easy – the mounting base has a wide foot with good spacing of the holes.If you have any questions or comments, or if you found this review helpful, please let me know!
