Put the bagel in, slice from the top, use the slot on the side to pull it out. Love it.

Got this to replace a bagel guillotine, which quickly lost its sharpness. This seemed like and easy, safe way to cut bagels. While it is a good quality piece of kit at a good price, you really need a long knife to make this easy to use. It is the right size, but to cut back and forth, you need a long enough knife.

I have yet to use this slicer box, but error on my part as I was under the impression that it was adjustable for different sizes of buns.

Very large and wide, which is good. But needs something to hold the bagels in place. Maybe more dangerous than cutting in my hand.
