Experience what it's like to own an authentic prehistoric Trilobite Fossil dated to be 500 million years old! Trilobites, meaning "3 lobed," first appeared in our oceans about 570 million years ago before going extinct about 240 million years ago. These fossils are hand-selected with an average size of 2.5 inches; however, please allow for small variations in size, shape, & color.

Overall quality of the fossil was very good and the size is amazing. I was use to the much smaller fossils I’ve seen in our rocks and this was a very impressive.

I anticipated a more pristine or detailed fossil like the one depicted. My grandson will still enjoy it. Had I found it in the hillside then I would’ve been excited. Just be aware to manage your expectations. It came fast, in a black velvet bag in a heavy plastic ziplock to protect the fossil.
