Parcel arrived quickly, kept updated by emails. Quality appears good, tested in dot 3 & 4 brake fluid reservoirs and bottle of dot 4 and works as it should. The only issue is, l cannot get a reading in one reservoir of dot 3 on a motorbike l brought about 12 month ago. ln trouble shooting it said it could be an issue with brake fluid, the previous owner said he never changed the fluid. l will change fluid on this motorbike, as it works in other reservoirs and in bottle of dot 4 brake fluid also works when l apply a damp rag of water to probes. l am satisfied with the tester an recommend. Hope this helps buyers

Due to its design, I was unable to test the rear motorcycle oil. Otherwise, it appears to be a well-constructed unit. However, the upside-down LED screen is somewhat inconvenient.

Product worked but the new brake fluid I used was nearly in the change soon range. Can’t verify accuracy. Otherwise easy to use

I'm big on maintenance on my vehicles, but a lot of the services that mechanics or quick oil change places try to sell you just aren't needed, at least at the intervals they're often recommended. Fuel injector service? Ridiculous, put a can of SeaFoam in your tank and fill up with premium the next time you're going to be on the freeway for an hour- injectors cleaned. That brings me to brake fluid- I HAVE seen brake fluid go bad but it's usually in a vehicle that is decades old, with a leak somewhere in the system. So I never knew if brake fluid REALLY needed to be flushed, or if it was just another money grab. Turns out that the moisture content can be checked, so I can actually know whether it needs to be flushed or not! And that's exactly where this meter enters the story: it can measure the moisture content in the meter and let you know if it's serviceable or if it needs changing. My 2020 Ram 1500? No moisture in the brake fluid, no need to bother. My 1979 C10? Yeah... definitely needs a flush. This is a great tool to have just to keep an eye on these things!

The old days were changing the brake fluid after xxxxx mileage or when it looked dirty, not a great way to have reliable brake system. This little tool allows for instantaneous reading of moisture in the fluid reservoir. It has three zones that are lit up in corresponding colors, red, yellow, green making it easy to use and read the LCD display, it’s accurate against new vs old fluid as expected but you’d need a lab to analyze the water content for true accuracy. It’s compact size it about the same as your average cigar. Functions as designed and looks to be durable in construction. Another specialty tool that makes your automotive life easier in my opinion. Great value for the money.

This worked well for the three cars and a can of fresh brake fluid I tested. The test results were aligned with what I expected:- Can with fresh brake fluid measured 0.2%- Car with recent brake fluid flush measured 1.1%- One-year-old car measured 1.3%- Four-year-old car (with no brake service yet performed) measured 1.7%The probe can be switched between DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluid (not sure how the measurement changes). Instructions are brief but clear with an explanation of the various humidity levels and follow-up action (0-2% all OK, 2-3% plan for brake fluid replacement, 3%+ replace brake fluid immediately). The three ranges are accompanied by a different color backlight (green, yellow, red) and buzzer sounds. The probe feels solid and durable. Overall seems to be a useful tool to determine when brake fluid replacements are needed.
