I was able to get a couple extra sounds out of my HH guitar. I went with simple coil splits but I have ideas for series combinations in the future. Action feels chunky and secure. Has that snap that you get from good strats. What’s not to like?

The positions are clicky and the switch seems solid. It doesn't come with a wiring guide numbering the pins, but a multimeter (which you should be capable of using if you're soldering a switch) and a piece of paper will create your own diagram.

I bought this 3-way switch to replace one that had worn out. The switch is really nice. The switching mechanism has a very high quality and solid feel. It also included 3 color knobs so you can pick your preferred look.Unfortunately the switch doesn't include any documentation or wiring guidance. It is also missing from the Amazon item page. This leaves the buyer to search the internet for a switch wiring diagram. There are several different kinds of switches and wiring configurations that *might* work. So I picked one and started installing the switch. After attempting three different wiring configurations I gave up. I was able to get sound in the bridge and neck position, but not in the middle position. It was the same problem each time. I wasn't able to determine whether the switch was the problem or my wiring (because there is no wiring diagram). Overall the product is a loser for me.I want to like this switch, I really do. It is well built and looks and feels really nice. But unfortunately it caused me an afternoon of frustration and misery. I installed a different one which worked right away. This other switch I installed also included a wiring diagram.

Overall, this is a good quality switch made in a way that could be repairable if needed in the future. It's a fair amount more complicated than the standard 5-way switch and a good alternative to some other name brand options that offer similar functionality.

I recently replaced the wiring in my telecaster, and the switch that I used failed shortly thereafter. This is a much sturdier switch with stiffer detents and switching, that I expect to last a long time. I have replaced switches before, so this wasn't a particular challenge. It didn't include documentation, but I just followed what is on the previous switch, since it has identical lugs, and it worked fine. There are plenty of wiring diagrams online, as well, for this kind of switch. While I only needed the black tip for this project, it's nice that it comes with all three, so it works for any project, or if you decide to switch up your guitar's style.

This is solid feeling, has a proper length for the shaft (not too proud standing from the pickguard) and has all the extra tabs needed to get out of the regular old way of wiring HSH or HH pickups. The extra set of tabs allows for split coil operation in your decided positions, without the need for an extra push pull or other type of switch being installed. If you want to get into that Ibanez or PRS style of having a split coil in position 2 or 4, wire it up accordingly and the magic just happens. Good purchase for someone looking to get a little more out of their current pickup config. Does require knowledge of soldering and what the wiring of your pickups means. But, if you are looking at this, you probably know that.

I got this to re-wire my Yamaha RGX-TT. Unfortunately, it's not going to fit in such a thin guitar, so I will use it for another project later. The fact it didn't work for my intended usage does not mean there is a problem with this switch. The guitar I was going to use it in is very thin with a small control cavity.A 5-way super switch is basically four 5-way switches in one. This allows you to split humbuckers, have the middle setting on a three pickup guitar, only use the outer pickups, and do several other really neat things. There are plenty of resources on the internet on how to wire a switch like this, but I do wish Kaish had either included this documentation or gave a link to it.The switch is good quality but is quite stiff compared to the broken-in switch I had planned on replacing. The detents on each position are good. Not too hard, not too soft.So that you know, you need an absolute minimum of 1.4" from the inside of your control cavity to the back panel for this switch. You could bend the lugs and get away with a little less, but not by much. The switch is also pretty wide at 0.7". Neither of these measurements is out of the ordinary; I just wanted to pass the info on.The switch itself is perfectly fine, but I'm going to remove one star due to a lack of documentation.

A four way switch to add a series option is one of my favorite mods for two pickup, single volume / single tone control configurations and this is the only component you need to complete it (aside from a couple inches of wire). The switch looks and feels as solid as any I've ever used, with a stable and silent click at each position. The three barrel tips that are included in black, white, and cream also eliminates having to order addition trim. It's a switch. What else can be said? I highly recommend it.
