Kinda self explanatory when you use this, only down fall I’ve found it once hooked to a tree your toes will bite into the tree.. but way easier than lugging around sticks

I used these steps as a climbing aider on my climbing sticks. It worked well on the first stick placing it as high as I could on the tree. On the 5th use the metal bar that is at the top and acts as a spacer, ripped through the webbing. The material that is part of the steps is still intact though and I was able to get up the tree. I weigh about 170 lbs probably closer to 180 with all my gear attached. I might remove the metal bar and still use it as the actual step material is not damaged.

It was good for 1 use. My daughter (120 lbs) wanted to practice using it after trying it out at the river, set it up in the back yard for her and it ripped the next day.

I bought this aid ladder to use for a froggy setup in jugging the rope in a system comprised of a pas, grigri, and mictrotraxion to shoot pictures of climbers and it arrived today! It is lighter than comparable aid ladders from brands like Metolius, Petzl, or Yates making it a good value. The biggest feature is the stiff support by the first step to ensure that it stays open. This will be a boon compared to using a sling or plain nylon webbing ladder and then struggling to get your feet in to ascend, which i have done in the past. Secondly, the fact that it is lighter will help when there is a lot to carry. It would be nice if there was another advanced model that came with a bag attached to keep the aiders stored on your harness but for the money it seems to be a good product. I hope to update this review after I have had a chance to use this hard so i can also comment on its durability over time.

Strong but flimsy . Hard to get your boot into the next rung after stepping into the first one bc it would stretch and become smaller

I got these to use with my tree climbing steps. Previously, I was using a single looped aider, and found it was very uncomfortable trying to turn my size 14 boot sideways to get it in. I also found it very uncomfortable to reach down under my feet to unhook the aider, and bring it up to the next.So I ordered 3 of these up, and leave them permanently attached to my tree climbing steps. They are extremely lightweight, yet sturdy, and are much more comfortable to use than the looped aider. The one drawback is it is more material to get tangled up.
