These gaiters are amazing. Light weight, breathable, easy to put on and tough. No appreciable wear after several uses. I'd recommend the low height vs the standard height.

The straps are adjustable. You have to pop them out of the tab they snap into. Once I figured that out they went on and fit nicely. Keeps the dust, sand, dirt and pebbles out of your shoes.

Solid, well made product. Very easy to adjust and put on, they fit on any shoes and don't require you to glue velcro or anything like that.For being the companies more "rugged" lightweight gaiter I had some concern they'd feel hot but that has not been the case. I regularly hike in the 80-90 degree range and these don't seem to cause any noticeable increase in heat.They keep dust and rocks and twigs out of my shoes, and that's what matters. Definitely a bit expensive at full price, but I got them on sale half on and I can say they're more than worth what I paid.

Jai acheté ce produit pour protéger mea souliers de marche pour compostelle. La gance de soutien sous le soulier est de plastique rigide qui tient avec des attaches pas suffisamment efficace. Apres 3 heures de marche seulement, l’attache avait détachée a deux reprises. Je ne le recommande aucunement et, étant à l’étranger, je ne peux le retourner aisément car je me serait assurément fait rembourser donc j’ignore si cest un cas isole et leur services après vente

I purchased these to use with my hiking boots to prevent the gravel, spruce needles etc from getting inside my socks and boots. I bought the medium size for my ladies sized 10 boot. It was way too small. I couldn't even loop it over the heel! I don't think the Large would've been any better. These are definitely for shoes only - don't think they'd ever fit a pair of boots.

So glad I got these finally! They work so well with my shoes for keeping rocks and debris out while walking outside! I purchased a size small/medium and they fit perfectly with my size 7.5 wide shoes! The fabric is durable with some stretch so they move with me when I walk. I was concerned that they would be difficult to put on but they were easy! They are adjustable around the cuff and are not in anyway obtrusive or uncomfortable. I’m thrilled with the way they look - they look like a legitimate piece of outdoor equipment! I am also excited that they keep my ankles warmer. I can’t wait to go on more walks without having to stop every few yards to take my shoe off and shake it out! UGH!! Such a relief!

These are awesome!! Perfect for hiking, running or hunting. They will not fit over large hiking or hunting boots but they will fit over tennis shoes and hiking shoes or smaller mid height boots. They are very durable and easy to use. Life saver for walking through tall grasses and keeping the seeds out of your socks and insides of your boots/shoes.

I paced an American River 50-mile running friend where pacing is allowed, on the last 23 miles of mostly single-track technical trails from Beals Point to Auburn. I bought these and wore them with size 13 4E trail running shoes and crew length trail running socks and they worked perfectly. Easy to put on and adjust. Fabric is durable but lightweight, so didn’t retain heat, which would have been unwelcome. Most importantly, it kept debris out of my shoes and also was a nice extra layer against poison oak. Washed them afterward and air-drying them. Looking forward to these being used regularly on runs involving gravel or dirt paths.

I had been researching for months for the right pair of low level gaiters for a multi-stage ultra in the Atacama Desert, Chile.These Kahtoola got my attention, mainly for two reasons: 1) Closure style around the leg, and 2) Instep strap material.The Atacama desert is extremely demanding, offering up everything from soft sand, igneous rocks, sandstone, to rough rocky trails and salt-encrusted rock stretching for miles.I found them very easy to put on - one reviewer has suggested reversing the L & R, but IMHO, this is personal preference and may not be applicable or suitable for everyone.The closure around the ankle was easy to adjust, and the material soft enough that you could forget that you were wearing them.They are very good at their job, which is to keep debris from entering your (trail running) shoes via the usual ingress points, i.e. ankle and lace/tongue areas.However, be aware that if your shoes are mesh top of any kind, they will not prevent very fine sand from getting through that mesh on the shoe uppers beyond the coverage of the gaiters. This is NOT a failure of the gaiters.So, the three pictures attached show the gaiters immediately after completing the six-stage, 155 mile ultra in the Atacama desert, and the last (clean) one is after laundering them upon returning home. Apart from some very mild scuffing of the instep strap, they look like new.Kudos to Kahtool on making a great pair of gaiters. On the basis of this experience I would definitely consider buying other Kahtoola products. P.S. My Brooks Cascadia trail shoes (love them too) looked far more beaten up, and are testament to the terrain we traveled over.
