The inner cap to prevent the coffee from making a mess after grinding was missing. I'm awaiting a response from the company because the grinder is useless without the cap as it creates a mess after each use. Otherwise the grinder works well.

I bought this one 2 years ago but never used it, today I took it out and did a test round by grinding some old beans for just a few seconds, was very happy with the outcome. so I dump the powder and pour in some fresh beans, but then after just a few seconds it stopped running with a bad burning smell coming up.

UPDATED REVIEW: I think I just got a one off unit that had a bad switch in it. That type of thing happens. I reached out to the seller and they made it right very quickly. This seller is great to work with, I would have no concerns that any issues you have will be resolved quickly. Buy with confidence.I did a lot of looking for a grinder and this is the one I settled on because of the removable cup. I used it a total of three times and it stopped working. As usual, it happened just after my return window. It sounds like the switch went bad inside because it doesn't "click" anymore when depressing the lid to start the grinder. I think I just got a bad unit and hope that Kaffe makes it right.

It worked correctly for about 3 times! After that it broke, something with the switch not working! Trash, trash, trash don’t waste your time!

UPDATE: After 5 months of basic use, it suddenly stopped working. I would only use it to grind small batches of beans in the morning for my daily pot of coffee. I never used it for extended periods of time to burn out the motor. No way to contact them through Amazon, so hoping they reply to their Kaffe site contact email.Grinding cup is a decent size, plenty to have my large travel cup size of coffee in the morning (about 4-5 coffee scoops). Works well! I love have the removable cup.

Huge level of satisfaction with this grinder. The first thing I'll say about it, is the intelligent design of how narrow the opening is when you want to pour the finished grinded stuff into your canister or whatever you're using. I use the emptied plastic jars that used to contain essential amino acid powder, but I that I re-use to hold my coffee grounds. *Every* grinder that I've used create a problem with pouring the grounds into my containers - it always made a mess with going over the sides. The grinding action itself - right away the first time you use - together with the quality construction, just impresses upon you that it was made with a focus on quality.[Update:] This is a fantastic company. I had accidentally dropped that clear plastic cover that goes between the base and the top, behind my oven ( it might as well have disappeared into some other parallel dimensions for what its worth, it aint going to be recovered til I buy another oven ).I found their website, and asked if they sell that part. They just asked for my address and sent it to me, along with another part I didn't even ask for!

I got this coffee grinder to grind a tablespoon of flaxseeds every morning to add to my oatmeal. All the online information said that flaxseeds should be ground fresh. This grinder has features that make it perfect for this. It is fairly small, so it doesn't take up much counter space. The grinding chamber comes off so you can wash it in the sink. There is a plastic lid for the grinding chamber that prevents little pieces of ground flaxseed from getting into the motor area or out onto the counter. It is so easy to use: plug it in, and press down on the top. I grind my flaxseeds for 15 seconds. It's kind of loud, but not annoying, and it's only on for a short while. Highly recommend this coffee grinder. I'm assuming it's just as wonderful when grinding coffee beans.
