Did not have the tubes with it so this was worthless and a waste of money

As everyone knows, this kit's inablity to be used for red wine is a great problem! I think Titrets must pursue hard to develop an improved kit for the red wines. A newer version may construct a kit conaining hydrogen peroxide within, though the kit may be a bit awkward to use, but it will be worthy for the serious vintners.

Results for white wine are acceptable, assuming you are OK with possible errors of up to10 ppm. The test is not accurate for red wine, and is not recommended. If you are adding sulfite above 40 ppm to treat a bacterial problem for example, this test is not reliable for white wine. Also, if you are treating wine with ascorbic acid or tannin, you will frequently get false test readings. While the test is based on the Ripper method, which is widely used in the wine industry, the limitations of this test should be clearly explained to everyone before they buy this product.
