A good grounding point is tough to find in a modern cars as do many components are either painted or coated. This makes virtually any accessible metal surface easy to connect to as you use your finger!

Great tool however it’s downfall is battery is not replaceable . A bit pricy for that.

Got it, tested it once I got it out of the box. Worked fine. Threw away the box and put it in my bag. 4 days later went to use it and it didn't work. Everything is sealed so there's no way to replace battery/reset the device. Can't return it since I threw away the box. Would not buy again or recommend.
