Here's what you get for your money.... 4 pieces of brass shim stock, .001, .002, .003, & .005. The first three sizes are cut to size of 3x6 inches. The .005 is a 4x4 inch piece. The .001 and .002 are slightly undersized (-.0005) but close enough for my application. It's a good assortment for the hobbyist and worth the $$.These shims are made in China per the labeling. Not a problem in and of itself. Unfortunately the shims are packed in a thin cellophane wrapper which Amazon then ships in a flimsy plastic bag/envelope. The result is you receive your order but they are crumpled up. It would be wise to put a cardboard stiffener in the envelope or place the shims in a box to ensure safe delivery

What I didn't like as others have said is the packaging of this. It came in a cellophane envelope with no protection against it bending or folding. I like the different sizes and thickness of each one to be able to use the right thickness where it might be used.

Great assortment of shim stock. I used them to align the tailstock on my southbend lathe

Product was shipped (late) in thin flimsy package. These are brass sheets and bend easily. Needless to say they were damaged upon arrival from poor choice of packaging.I’m no packaging expert but if I were to send off thin metal sheets , I would think to put them in a package that couldn’t be bent.

Great shim stock - exactly what was needed to set up a machine. Ample quantity of each size, and, although I didn't mike every square inch, they seemed to be on-size and consistent. Great value!

I bought this pack to use as adjustment shims for my fountain pens. The two sheets that are in the middle,thicknes/gauge-wise, are the two that work best for pens. The thickest sheet is too thick and the thinnest sheet is like thin aluminum foil. The price is very fair, seeing how Goulet pens sells two 1" x 2" brass rectangles as pen shims for $4 plus shipping. Even if you only get use out of one of the sheets in this set, it's still a good deal as one sheet is about 4" by 6.5". These, along with micro mesh paper set and an LED jewelers loop, have really helped with my ability to adjust the ink flow and smooth the nibs on my fountain pens. I would definitely buy this pack again, though now that I know which sheet gauge works best I will just buy a larger sheet in that gauge. Final words: this is a great pack to decide what gauge brass sheeting works best for your FP adjustment needs. Very worth it.

I used these sheets to clean out the nibs on my fountain pens. They were much cheaper than buying the same thing (but with less variety) on a fountain pen website. I got more than I will probably ever need, and I cut pieces off the larger sheets to make smaller ones for cleaning my pens. They did the job and worked great.

I needed brass shim stock for a very small project and this product fit the bill very nicely. The price was more than reasonable, the product was exactly as described, and well packaged. I recommend this seller.

Great assortment of brass shims. I use them to align my fountain pen nibs or spread the tines if they are too tight and the ink is not flowing properly. I wrap the .002MM shim around one side of the fountain pen nib tines and gently apply pressure to move it apart less than a hair width, just enough to see light through the slit. To align the nibs I do the same thing but lift the low side up or the high side down. To determine the high or low side, you have to look at the nib head on with a 30x power loupe, then it is easy to see which tine is high or low.I just cut a small piece .5 inch wide piece along the short edge and have been using that piece ever since I bought the package.
