Product description quantity is totally wrong. States "pack of 5", wrong, one pack of 2 is all you get, or the seller owes me 4 more packs of 2. Very expensive for 2 pieces of spring steel when you are expecting 5 packs of 2, IE, 10 pieces total.

So far I have made file-cleaning awls with hardened tips, a rifle barrel cleaning rod and a couple of helical springs (think mousetrap spring). The springs... could be better, but that's down to my primitive manufacturing tech, and they work which is the important bit. This wire responds well to heat-treatment (heating with a torch will undo the temper! Quench in water to harden, place in a preheated furnace to temper) and is just the right diameter to be rigid and strong yet flexible. I actually bought it to make linkage arms but haven't gotten around to it yet, It should work well at the scale I am planning to use it for.5x2(10 total) 3/32" spring temper wire 36" length Stock#506.

I ordered these for making an awl (quite useful in woodworking). While doing so I decided to make a few for gifts. These were straight, well made, and sized just right to accomplish the task. It only takes about five inches of wire to make each one so I will wind up with a lot of awls.
