Are you looking for a thick clear durable tape to repair a book? This is the stuff. Cuts clean, easy to use. You can tell it's durable by how it handles. Very happy with it.

I bought it to repair a torn boardgame board and extremely happy with the result: cloth-based book binding tape on the back for structure and this on the face side. I used to use clear packing tape for similar repairs, but I’m offically converted, this tape isn’t as flimsy and looks and feels really high quality.Don’t listen to reviewers who thought they were buying book binding tape, they were clearly not; or those who got it stuck together, any tape will stick together if you’re not careful.

Not exactly what I would call bookbinding tape. Really turned out to be overpriced packing tape. I could have bought 3 rolls from Staples for what was paid for this tape. Won't make that mistake again!

it is not as heavy weight as I had hoped. As a classroom teacher, I have done a lot of book repairs over the years. It tears more easily than I would have wished, but is extraordinarily flexible,so works well repairing small tears in pages before they become larger.It just is not good for when hardback are separating from the spine.

Considerably thinner than Scotch book tape. While I think it will work for covering call number labels, I wouldn't use it for any repairs (there are better products than clear tape for repairs).I recommend a heavier thickness and the better adhesive of Scotch.

No good I wanted Spine tape so I could then put a cover on the book, that tape is just for repairing pages.

This is far from being a book binding tape. It is regular shipping tape. Very thin and does not bind good at all. I get the Scotch brand next time.

I'm using this tape to seal butterfly wings before setting them in resin and it works much better than the HD clear tape by Duck. The edges of the HD clear tape could be seen in the resin as they were very "shiny" as opposed to being perfectly clear. They also gave the wings a plastic look as I'm certain they would do to book pages as well. This "crystal clear book tape" is actually clear and leaves no sheen on the wings. It also sticks a lot more securely and doesn't have tape lines from tension with the roll.
