I got a few of these to store gas in for emergency purposes and for general small machine use. I like that I can put them on a shelf and dispense from these into smaller cans to fill up the snow blower. At the same time, I should be able to set one of these on top of the generator and just hold the valve open to fill it up. They are heavy and feel like they are going to outlive me. I would not hesitate to buy more if I needed them.

With this tank, you are buying quality. I use it to mix and store cleaning solvernt for ‘outdoor sporting equipment’ The faucet features a very strong seal, it will not leak. To pour, push the valve inwards. The lid is spring loaded, the container neck has a strainer to prevent debris or materials to enter the tank. The lid spring cannot be removed for filling.I am very happy and satisfied with this purchase.

We bought it to hold acetone in a chemistry lab. It works exactly as expected. The spring on the opening is strong, but a large galvanized funnel can be placed in the opening to hold it open while refilling.

More expensive than plastic, but won't develop a static electrical spark, setting the gas station or your car on fire.
