I have to post it again.I needed a dispenser for the solvent, because wetting the rag directly from the large 5 liter container was a waste. I have to clean off grease and oil from small pieces before using the wire brush. This seemed to be what I needed, it's not cheap... it's red, so you never know how much solvent you need to fill it completely, you have to use a container graduated. The plastic thread must be screwed in slowly and carefully so as not to damage the plastic one. If you start badly then it never ends. After a couple of days it started to leak when turned upside down. I don't think that's the way it should work. Perhaps the valve has a defective part or is assembled poorly. However it shouldn't leak any solvent.

This thing works like a champ! I've tried several dispenser type holders to keep acetone handy in my shop and they all leak and 3/4 of the acetone goes into the air (which I'm sure is good for my lungs...). This, on the other hand maintains a great seal. I cannot smell acetone at the valve at all and there's no discernible evaporation.BTW, my shop is often close to 100*F. I'm in the delightfully warm part of Arizona and my shop is not air conditioned. This exacerbates the problem of evaporation significantly. But, it's not a problem with this container!I can't knock it at all, but when I bought this I had the mistaken impression that it worked like a lot of other dispensers which pump fluid up to the nozzle. That is, you can hold a rag over the tip, give it a few pumps, and a damp spot appears on your rag. This is not that type of dispenser. To dispense you must invert (or at least tip) the entire container and depress the valve to allow fluid to flow. Not quite as convenient as what I'd imagined, but as it turns out, convenient enough in practice.Pricey, but worth the price. I'd have saved money if I hadn't tried so many cheaper solutions first.Did I mention that it will actually hold acetone?

I wish it worked but when I used my thinner in it, the washer disintegrated. I replaced the washer with a more appropriate one and the unit started leaking from other spots on the brass head. Called the company, they had no clue why it didn't work, said they'd get back to me but never did. I returned the item for a refund.

A great product but why does it cost so much?

I really like this dispenser a lot. Im using it for acetone and its so much more convenient than the 1 gallon can.The price is high but I think its worth it. Saves you from having a lot of exposed solvent and its more precise.I will definitely pick up a few more.

I wish I'd have discovered this bottle years ago. It's absolutely perfect for keeping Acetone handy for use in my workshop.

This is a nice little convenient dispenser that I'm using for acetone. Doesn't seem to leak even while inverted. Dispenses a nice little stream -- not a deluge -- when inverted and the plunger is pressed, which makes it easy to control the amount on a rag.Minus one star because the threads in the red plastic part were cut/molded crooked and slightly off center, so the brass assembly isn't quite straight and isn't quite on center. Makes it look like it was screwed in cross-threaded, but the reality is that the threads themselves were done poorly. For the price, I'd expect them to at least cut the threads correctly.

This a great container to have on the workbench. I put acetone in mine and I can quickly grab it and dispense small amounts onto whatever I am working one and do it one handed!!
