This is the absolute best substrate you can get. My beardie loves it, digs, laid her eggs in it and was able to go into brumation. Nothing else compares.

I was a little anxious about getting this substrate in case we experienced any issues with impaction and ingestion, but our bearded dragon has been so obviously happier and more comfortable with it that I am very glad I chose to go ahead with it. The substrate is beautiful in his tank, and it retains heat longer so he often chooses to sleep on the sand itself rather than on any of his usual perches and resting areas. It's not cheap, but it's easy to clean and sift, and the pros far outweigh that singular con.

My bearded dragon really seems to like this new texture under her claws. My only reservation is for the size of some of the pebbles in this with certain animals that are prone to eating their substrate. My girl doesn't eat substrate, so I'm not too concerned for her.

this sand is really nice i got one bag and it covered the bottom of my 4x2x2 tank. my beardie loves to dig in it. i’d recommend getting 2 bags if you want it to be more deep so theres more sand for your creature to dig around in. from the research i did this sand seemed to be the best option. remember to make sure your husbandry is perfect before adding sand to reduce risks of impaction

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a bag of dirt, but this Jurassic Natural substrate turned my bearded dragon’s tank into a five-star desert resort. My dragon strutted around like she’d just claimed Australia as her kingdom. The texture is perfect—not too loose, not too packed—and it keeps her comfy as she plots world domination from her basking rock. I needed 3 bags for her 24" by 36" enclosure.Bonus: It even looks like real desert terrain, so now I feel like I’m watching a mini Jurassic Park in my living room. Just waiting for the tiny T. rex to show up. If your beardie deserves the royal treatment (and let’s face it, they ALL do), this substrate is the red carpet they’ve been waiting for.10/10—would let my dragon rule from this desert throne again!

Loki enjoys kicking up the sand. I love the color and it also keeps smell down from poop and dries it and makes it easy to scoop out. It went a lot further than I thought this size bag would go. The quality is great as well. It's a little pricey but it's not something that has to be changed out constantly.

Product came in very quickly and was able to be used immediately for my bearded dragon. No odors and gives the terrarium a great quality look. Useful for a dig box or substrate. Only filled up about a third of his tank. Orange in color
